Good Hotel but room looks like very old and the facilities provided is very old. The lobby area is big and good but not the rooms and service. The breakfast is limited and no choices for western food.

I stayed here just before Spring Festival and is just fine for a short visit. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part. The room was spacious, clean and had great wifi. Like the previous English review, the whole hotel is showing it's age and is in need of redecoration or renovations. However, i think this is the case for most of the larger hotels in the area and I wouldn't hold that against them too much. Jiaozuo is a very small city by Chinese standards and isn't really 'on the map' too much. You need to have realistic expectations as a foreign visitor. Overall, I liked this hotel a lot. It was a reasonable price for good quality rooms and service. I will likely stay here again next year.

If you are in the area for tourism, you may find it difficult unless you speak Chinese or have a guide. I don't think anyone in the hotel speaks much English and you won't come across many people in the service industry who speak it either. With the right spirit you could get by using translation software. 

The restaurant is fairly central but there didn't seem to be so many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. 

The breakfast was just fine. They had eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, coffee/tea and fruit as well as a host of Chinese options.

A good Jiaozuo option

Decent hotel

We stayed here for two night when visiting relatives in the city.  The hotel is in the old part of town at a major intersection.  It is next door to a couple of the other hotels.  For non-mandarin speaking people, you will have challenges communicating, not just in the hotel but in the city as a whole.  The city does not get many visitors from outside China.  You should also be fore-warned that the smog in the city is particularly bad.  The hotel itself is on the older side and the room which was spacious, was showing signs of wear and tear.  The breakfast is pretty good, Chinese food, but does have cereal and fruit for the western visitor.  They did have free Wi-Fi in the room which was convenient.

Okay Hotel, Needs Improvements

Although it is categorised as 4 star,the hotel at best be rated 2-3 star.The room looked worn out and many items in need of repair / touch up.When one showers the water seeps through the partitions flooding the bathroom floor.The handle of the toilet flush works intermittently. Wifi which is provided free does not function most of the time especially when you are assigned a corner room.The so so buffet breakfast which is included in the room rate is almost 100% Chinese food.Would not recommend stay in this hotel as better quality hotels are available neaby in Jiaozuo

Overrated Star Hotel

...spacious event-oriented congress hotel. Anyone who loves the tranquility of a large park will be amazed. Somewhat decentralised and for travellers only accessible by taxi service. Limited restaurant offers, friendly helpful staff, english communication very difficult.
