17 reviewsThe Ji'An Hotel, well known as a destination for the area's lingdao (party leadership), comes with all the accoutrements you come to expect in a high-end locally-managed hotel: bewildering centralized lighting control panels, unnecessary lips at thresholds that seem designed to make you stub your toe or trip over at night, and glass bathroom doors so you can lovingly observe your partner while they use the toilet. The minibar comes stocked with an ice bucket, though the staff, after several minutes of investigation, informed us that ice was in fact not available at the hotel. That said, the Ji'An hotel delivered on what is perhaps my only requirement when choosing a Chinese hotel: it is sparkling clean. The interior is modern and all the fixtures worked well. Also, each room has it's own free wifi hotspot, which is nice. Travellers with similar requirements will be satisfied, and I suspect have few alternatives in the region.
