Snowy Sea Hotel

We stayed at the Snowy Seas for just one night as part of a group tour (Tripadeal). The hotel is not new but everything worked well. Our upper-level room was clean and very spacious and enjoyed views across the city. Older style furnishings but that was fine. Lighting excellent. Lift was whisper quiet and very fast. 

1. Location: It is located in a busy area, but there is not much tourist facilities around. There are convenience stores (NOT 24-hours) and a huge supermarket nearby with some eateries, including a KFC. Easy access to tourist sites in old Suzhou. Subway is about a 15-minute walk away.

2. Rooms: Huge. Bathroom with good water temperatures, a number of English channels on TV, and good wifi coverage.

3. Amenities: Indoor pool was closed because of the season. Breakfast offers a huge selection of food and was pretty good.

4. Staff: Functional, polite; no complaints here.

A single night is not enough to enjoy this hotel.  Check in was fast.  Hotel is beautiful.  Staff are courteous.  Another amazing breakfast buffet.  Room was fairly good sized.  Beds comfortable.  Bathroom was well equipped.  Nice amenities.  Bilingual staff during part of the day.  Have your translator app handy.

 Once again find most in the 4star rating area all same  same but a little different..bit smaller room in this one but as with all .clean and tidy Once again. Breakfast more average than the others so far but ok still normal mix of Asian and western.

This hotel was clean with comfortable beds, a good size room and staff that tried very hard to understand us. It has a lovely restaurant although there is absolutely nothing in English anywhere and it's quite expensive. We tried to eat there but they didn't have any Peking duck left. A guest that could speak English let us know ....
There is a supermarket / shopping centre about 200m to the right where we bought wine and snacks and sat in our room with our friends and made our own entertainment. The fridge didn't seem to get cold but we eventually managed to explain that we would like an ice bucket and the staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was ok, not much western and the tea that was available was cold.
It's a nice hotel if you're staying in Suzhou.

We stayed at the Snowy Sea Hotel as part of our tour of China. The accommodation here was very comfortable. The hotel had a very glamourous air with beautiful decor. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection of both Western and local options and the restaurant itself had a lovely atmosphere. Suzhou is one of the wettest regions in China and it felt cosy looking out the windows at the rain while sipping our coffee. The hotel is located close to a number of shops and restaurants so very convenient for a little souvenir shopping or picking up some snacks. Suzhou is known as the 'Venice of China' and one of the popular attractions is cruising the canals of Suzhou to get a real insight into how many people in this city live with the canal system as the focal point in their daily lives. The hotel staff were more than happy to arrange tours for guests. The ancient gardens of Suzhou are also worth a visit. We have very good memories of spending some time in this region and this hotel.

Stayed 1 night as part of a Trip A Deal tour.  Was the best hotel we stayed in.  The hotel and room were bright, modern and spacious.  Buffet breakfast was good. Amenities good.  Plenty of restaurants and ATM’s within walking distance.

Lovely Accomadation only a slight problem of water not draining away too quickly however clean, 4 star and the Breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. Bed was comfortable and easy lift access

This hotel was comfortable and well positioned. It was close to banks, an enormous supermarket, a variety of restaurants. 
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and quiet. Our bed was enormous and there was enough storage for a small western family. There were kitchen facilities but no utensils or plates. We were out most of the time so it didn't matter but it does seem like a wasted opportunity.  The breakfast was wonderful with a large selection of fresh local foods. The breakfast was not reliant on you wanting eggs and bacon - lovely.

my room was good and there was a fridge, bed good room clean and great amenities, air con work ok, staff could speak some English which was good made thing a lot better   ,this hotel was no close to shops but there was a Starbucks coffee shop and a small deli, breakfast was ok but hard to find a seat with lots of trip a deal travelers

A comfortable modern hotel with all the usual comforts in the room such as safe, toiletries, iron, slippers and AC. Beds a little softer but still firm. TV has CNN and National Geographic but there is the usual green tea/black tea and no milk and sugar. Plenty of storage space. Staff are very good and the breakfast is EXCELLENT with a great variety of western and Asian foods
