Maochen New Century Hotel

We fell out of Nanjing Railway Station into this hotel which we had booked online. Location maybe a little confusing but basically if you exit the railway station onto the main concourse outside, and then face to the station with the lake behind you, the hotel is the tower due right. Our choice was driven by our wish to fall out of a late night train into a decent hotel where we could get our young kids to sleep quick. It worked perfectly well in this respect. In general we like the hotel and it was what we expected for this sort of money, about $70 US a night. The room was clean and comfortable with a view over the lake, beds very comfortable too. We expected the carpets to be a bit stained - but we couldn't fault the facilities - dressing gowns, slippers, excellent toiletries including a travel kit, safe box, internet. Perfect for our needs and easy access to Nanjing's subway and you can fall out of your bed into Xuanwu Lake Park with the city walls to the right. The park is really pleasant especially in hot weather.
