thanks my god, hotel is nice,clean,perfect location but some thing missing what i third,all the staff are looks busy all the time,  near by hotel easy to spend money lots of shooping area,
 we rely love to talk with people but very hard here,no english meby,cost is oky,food is supper, any way it was not bad,at lease this is much much better then tibetain hotel.thanks.

I was staying at the West Coast Resort Hainan, what was formerly known as the Sofitel Fizi, West Coast Hainan.

The location is a distance from Haikou, so if you are looking for shopping, this would not be ideal. But it was ideal for our team building group since it had a large pool for water activites, a 2 km stretch of beach for volleyball and some fun in the sand.

Food choice was either Western or Chinese which was good considering there were options for everyone. 

Can be a nice place for romantic getaways too plus lots of privacy if required.

' perfect location but.....

Total Relaxation

Attend a big thank you party and stayed for one night. Current name is West Coast Resort Hainan ( very long time ago Sofitel ). Food was fine with huge number of dishes washed down with wine & liquor. Rooms are showing age but everything works. Group booking was decnt QPR but surely there are better places near to town...

SHOWING AGE AND FAR FROM TOWN

First of all it is a very beautiful hotel with nice chinese style decorated big rooms. It has a big nice swimming pool and a hotel own beach. The service is very well and the breakfast is mixed western and chinese style and tasty.
It is a five star hotel and that´s all for a room rate of 500 RMB incl. two breakfast.
What is the catch in it? It is the location. It is absolutely horrible. It is really far, far away from any shops or city center. If you want to leave the hotel you have to order a taxi from Haikou for which you wait 50 minutes. After we was in the city we had to ask 5 taxi drivers and it costs us one hour until we found somebody who is willing to bring us so far away to this hotel.
In overall if you want to have nice lonely holidays with your lover or you are on honeymoon, it might be a good choice for you. But if your not the type who want always stay in the hotel area, please choose another hotel.

Nice hotel with horrible location

Visiting for a conference. No ATM. International credit cards not accepted. Staff unwilling to help with even basic enquiries. Far from anything else. Coffee not served at breakfast. Room service only after 9pm. Banquet food inedible. Rooms need a good clean.
