close to airport and restourants. Clean and very modern. poor english speaking staff.the one we stayed was on 136 xicheng road renhe town,Baiyun districk.you can  charge your car if useing electrick car.

This hotel, as others have noted, is located on the grounds of Guangdong University.    This is far from a luxury property but three of us stayed in three separate rooms and we all found it more than satisfactory.  While most front staff are students with minimal English, they always found someone to quickly translate.  They were very helpful and nice. THe $4.50 breakfast buffet was typical Chinese - lots of fried vegetables, both hard boiled and fried eggs, and generic white toast - it was more than edible and a broad enough selection to find enough.  THe rooms were large, and the consensus was that the bed, while Chinese "firm" , was quite comfortable.  Convenience to Canton Fair via free shuttle bus was great.  Biggest negative was distance from better and/or Western restaurants, but getting a taxi was easy enough.  One word of caution:   be sure to bring with you clear instructions in Chinese for taxi driver to get you there initially.  Be sure it says Guangdong University School of Economics (or Business, not sure if different)  as well as name of hotel. Just about all the taxi drivers we had were unclear, initially,  of where this hotel was located.     I will stay here again.

Pleasant Inexpensive Business Hotel

Stayed for two nights while going to an exhibition at the Pazhou. It is a RMB 20 taxi ride from the hotel to the exhibition - and certainly no chance to walk it. The staff are kind but their English is quiet lacking. No breakfast at the hotel, but there are lots of places around that will serve Chinese food. No coffee in the room, but the WiFi is free and with a good signal. Though using Booking.com a room cost RMB 360 a night which is not bad. I think you can do better and the hotel owners can certainly do a lot better if they wanted too.

Not so close to the Pazhou - but cheap and OK WiFi

Not a great stay to start

Our overnight stay was peaceful however wasn't a fancy room for my son & I 

We struggled to sleep in such hot rooms with high temperatures of August and terrible humidity

No breakfast at the hotel and we had to eat  using coupon at the nearby small filthy restaurant

Stayed in hotel as recommended by the airport hotel desk for overnight transfers. Awful, awful experience. Our flight landed late and apparently the hotel has a policy of not picking up guests from the airport after 22:30 even if you have pre booked a pick up. To add insult to injury, they also appear to screen phone calls and not pick up calls from international phone numbers - i.e. any tourist's phone. It took two long frustrating phone calls from two very kind locals to beg on our behalf to get them to agree to pick up their own guests! Judging from our experience - it doesn't matter how stylish or new the hotel is, with this level of incompetent service, you'd be far better off elsewhere.
