Stayed at the Guangzhou Hotel in 2025 from February 15 -18 to visit relatives while the wife visited her family in eastern China. It was amazingly easy and smooth getting to the hotel. From the Hong Kong International Airport, I took the Airport Express to the Hong Kong West Kowloon Train Station, where I then took the high speed train to the Guangzhou South Train Station (“Guangzhou Nan”). From there, I hopped on Guangzhou’s Metro Line 2, got off at Haizhu Square Station, and came out at exit E, which puts you literally next to the hotel entrance. Unfortunately, there are no escalators or elevator (only a long flight of stairs) for this exit, so keep that in mind if your have heavy luggage. My room appeared to have been recently renovated a few years ago, so everything looked clean and modern. There was even a partial view of the river as my room was on one of the higher floors. Staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout. Would strongly consider returning in the future and recommend to friends and family.
