Daocheng Drolma's Guest House

Owners are very kind and can speak English very well. They helped us arrange trip to Yading and car to Shangri-La Yunnan. If you can’t speak Chinese No problem. Rooms are comfy,nice hot shower,heat blanket.
Will stay here again if we have chance to go back. 

Stayed in Dao Cheng for climbing for 5 days. Very welcoming place with cosy meeting room with free coffee and the only pace in town where you could borrow a crash-pad. Not as touristy as a lot of other places in town. 

We stayed here during National Week. The room was very pricy but it was due to Golden Week. All the places are very expensive at that time. The room was nice - not very big but ok. The bathroom was also ok - with a Chinese toilet.
The staff is very friendly and very helpful! They also speak good English.
They really helped us as all the tickets for Yading were sold out. But with their help we managed to get tickets - we are really grateful for their help. I can only recommend this place.

Nice guesthouse in Daocheng

We stayed here because it is rated very highly by lonely planet as a a great place to get knowledge of yading nature reserve. It was not really, the staff did not prove that helpful, the room smelt of cigarettes and they arranged us a minibus to yading that turned out to not have a proper license so the journey took much longer and we had to sit with the police for them to arrange a new bus, as foreigners it was a rather stressful and uncomfortable day.

Wouldn't stay here again

It was not super bad, but the double room beds were uncomfortable and not cosy. The staff was nice and helpfull. Overall the price was quite high compared to the facilities. I think there are better options.
