Bolianhui Hotel Chongqing Wanda Plaza

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. I recently stayed there as part of a business trip to the city. The hotel was arranged by a colleague, so I really did not know what to expect. My wife and I arrived into Chongqing by train, and took a taxi to the hotel which took about 25 minutes and cost about 30 Yuan. Checking in was quick and the hotel has a couple people who speak a little English which made it even easier. Our room was really large, was very clean, had a great bathroom, and a large bed. Everything in the room worked. We especially appreciated that the air conditioner worked well. Our room had large windows which opened up toward the street and a park area, and although there was a little city noise, it was barely noticeable during the day and was completely quiet by 10 pm at night. Our room also had wired internet. I used a wireless repeater so we could both use our internet devices at the same time and it worked flawlessly. The internet speed was pretty fast compared to other places I've stayed in China. The hotel has a simple breakfast which seemed to be liked and appreciated by many quests. One of the best parts of this hotel is it's location. It is near a walking street area with several good Chinese and western restaurants. Of course there are Starbucks, McDonanld's, KFC, Costa Coffee, Dairy Queen, and Subway - but the best two places were Nova Italian Restaurant and Istanbul Kebab (a Turkish place). One other attraction - a golf driving range - is only a short bus ride away. I would stay there again if needing to do business in this part of Chongqing.
