Chengdu Tianyufengqing Hotel

This hotel is actually in a large 16 levels apartment building with 3 different connect towers. The hotel occupies floors 14 and16 of one of the 3 wings. I understand the Tianfufengqing has only recently taken over these two floors and converted them for the hotel. The hotel has no facilities other than the room. There was no restaurant, or bar, or swimming poo,l or fitness centre. The hotel is also quite a distance from the main downtown area. The room: Everything in the room was new. I found the room excellent. Good solid bed with hard mattress which is the way I like it. The internet connection was excellent and fast. For the value it is impossible to beat. Mind you the decor was interesting, to say the least. The wall paper made it look like a religious themed brothel almost. It is not a hotel you want to stay at if you need to entertain clients or impress people. But, if all you want is a place to sleep where you have good sized room, that is clean with good in-room facilities then you will not find better value in Chengdu. The manager and receptionist were very friendly and efficient. I would stay there again andwill probably do so in 2013.
