Jia Hui Apartment

I've stayed at Ascott/Frasers apartment hotels in Shanghai before, and I lowered my expectation of this JiaHui apartment hotel given the price difference of it with the Chengdu Ascott/Frasers is 1 versus 3, but am I glad that I've chosen JiaHui and saved a bundle while I enjoyed multiple times value of service and quality. The beds are reasonably firm and large 1.8m wide. The apartment hotel always has Mr Sheng in room 610 of apartment block 4 ready to answer query or give pointers or send his cleaning ladies to come by to help. The room itself is clean, reasonable size (mine was 57 sq meter, which at 258 rmb a night is very good value). Although they deal only in cash, but the amount is small (+200 rmb deposit at check-in and refunded straightaway when you return your key). Wifi internet is good, TV channels are plenty, I think there are at least 30 channels with a couple of them in English. Close to Chunxi road (about 700 meters away only) which is the main shopping district with all-too-familiar hagen daz, mcdonalds and starbucks. There are good tea-houses there too which is a local favourites. I cannot recommend enough of this place. No breakfast, but you can get your Mcdonald or KFC fix or try the local noodles and wanton soups which are amazingly nice and cheap. I had breakfast for 10rmb.
