To Chinese language-challenged people like me, it took a lot of courage to pick a hotel that seemed like catered to the native guests instead. My assumption was turned on its head once I walked into the old but spacious and comfortable room, and laid down over the decadent duvet-covered king size bed. And there was no trace of previous smoking in my room. The next morning's sumptuous breakfast buffet spread chased away any remaining doubt in me. And topping it all up, the very dedicated receptionist in the morning of May 31st took the time to help me hail a taxi, some blocks away from her post. All of these interactions were done via sign language. I could not be more pleased and will gladly return to Wandai Hotel on my next stop in Changsha. What a Wonder!
