安顺天瀑大酒店

This place is clean and at 388RMB for a twin room good value for money compared to hotels in the Huangguoshu scenic area 45km to the south. Paying with a foreign credit card was no problem and check in was smooth as we booked in advance. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was not exactly mind blowing (and neither was it western as advertised) but at 100RMB for two people acceptable. The staff were very friendly an eager to help. Breakfast was Chinese style and decent enough. The view from our room was anything but pretty - hardly the hotels fault though, Anshun is a pretty grimey town. The only complaint I have is the pool we could see from our room. I do not know if it is actually part of the hotel, but regardless - it needs to be drained. Urgently. It is a health hazzard. The only thing missing to complete that sad picture would be a dead duck.
