By the time I arrived in Anshun I had been traveling by myself for a couple of weeks. I have no Chinese ability so conversation was difficult. Although the girls behind the counter had a translation app. They were able to help me get a prepaid taxi for the day to take me to all of the waterfalls. So long as I showed the driver a ticket. The hotel was comfortable and welcoming. One of the girls behind the counter in the lobby lives in the hotel and we hung out and chatted over tea and Chinese TV. If you want a taxi to the airport very early in the morning it will cost you 800¥ which is approximately $128.00. So keep travel in mind. However there is a bus station right near the hotel. If you manage to write your destination in Chinese, anyone can help you get where you're going. Anytime you go on an excursion START EARLY. Unless you're feeling adventurous and don't mind getting stranded some place when the buses stop for the evening. The entire staff at this hotel is so caring and loving. They'll make sure you have a good time and get enough to eat. Happy trails!
