Carilafquen Turismo y Spa

This place was really something else. Off the beaten path just behind Laguna Verde, this idyllic setting of mini-cabins lies in between the trees with the absolute best view imaginable. During day, one can explore the coves around, go to the beach only a couple of minutes drive away, or head to Valparaiso also easily reached in a couple of minutes. In the evening, enjoy the sunset in one of the two fire heated outdoor hot tubs whilst sipping a Pisco Sour prepared by the staff and then light the little wood oven in your cabin for warmth and the ultimate chill-factor. Each cabin is fitted with a full kitchen a super comfortable double bed (check photos for the view when you wake up!), a living room with TV and a smaller room with bunk-beds for children. The owners are literally the nicest people we met on our entire 3-week trip and despite us not being able to speak Spanish much, we understood each other just fine. Other things to know: -There is a restaurant that does breakfast, lunch and dinner, the latter two for an extra charge. Cooking for you is the lady that owns the place and she really knows how to cook. -There are many dogs just chilling on the property that are all super friendly and people also bring their own dogs. -Each cabin is fitted with an outside BBQ grill, so bring carbon if you want to BBQ -The closest bigger shop is in Valparaiso, so bring stuff to eat if your don’t want to eat in the restaurant. -The road that leads to the place is very rocky and bumpy. Not suitable for very small cars. Also, you need a car to get there, there really is no other way. All cards accepted. Thank you Carilafquen and see you again soon :-)
