152 reviewsDelightful and relaxed stay with top notch food. The location is in a rural setting couple of hours south of Santiago, in an area with fruit tree farms and vineyards. The lodge has six rooms with plenty of fruit trees on the property (we visited at the peak of the fruit season) and a lovely garden + swimming pool. We spent three days and enjoyed all of it. The hosts are Ruth (who is a chef) and Vicente, who made the stay very comfortable and pleasant. There are five dogs as well which was a bonus for us. Breakfast was included in the room rate and we opted to have dinner there all three nights. Very good decision. The food is exceptional and the menu changed each night adding to the anticipation of the meals. To do justice to the magnificent cooking we skipped lunch for those days! After dinner, we did some stargazing sitting out on the lawn and looking at the southern sky. If you are looking for a break from seeing the sights and having a quiet, relaxing time, this is the place. There are some sights an hour's drive away, we did the Colchagua Museum in Santa Cruz (excellent small museum) and a Winery tour which Ruth booked for us.
