64 reviewsStayed here two nights while on a scouting trip for a future project in Santiago. I would identify this property as "comfortable and quaint". It is certainly not new and is not in a new section of the city. But the property has been better maintained than some 4 and 5 star American chain hotels I have stayed in! It is family owned, and many of the employees have worked here an average of 20 years. They do not speak much english, but enough to get you by. The restaurant which seats about 50 people is for hotel guests only. (There is another place next door that serves the public.) A nice continental breakfast is included in the reasonable room rates. They also serve lunch and dinner with full menu pricing. The food was fresh and well presented. We felt safe eating there. The rooms are small but efficient. There was no chest of drawers, but the closet was adequate. Each room had cable TV, but all channels were in Spanish. The bathroom was small but very clean and adequate. And the hot water was very HOT, which is not always the case in many hotels. There was no pool or fitness center, but the room rates reflected it. We will be back again the next time we visit Santiago!
