Just stayed for a week at the "Green House" - It is in short a great balance of value, location, hospitable hosts, and comfort. This place has just been updated and has all new stuff - shower, toilet, sink, whatever... I even had a new tv and heater in my room! Clean and comfortable basically. The location was great as it was right next to the metro in a "normal" neighborhood... not bad, not fancy but "real". Santiago is very safe and easy to navigate by metro so this location right on the metro makes it fantastic. The woman who runs the place with her husband was excellent - very hospitable and helpful with guidance around the area. Nice little breakfast in the morning too!
