Stayed there for 5 nights in 4 different apartments so I wanted to share my experience which in general was more positive than initially expected. Before going there I read some negative reviews about this place and at some point I was even considering cancelling and choosing another accommodation, now I'm glad that I didn't and trusted the overall rating. First you need to know this accommodation is a rare case in which rooms in reality look better than in the pictures on booking.com. We never got a two storey apartment as in the pictures, every time we were getting a normal apartment which I appreciated more than I would have appreciated a bedroom on a different level. 3 of 4 apartments were clean, with new furniture, fresh bed linen and well equipped kitchenette (sink, gas stove, fridge, microwave oven, electric kettle plus some basic utensils). Only in one case we got an apartment of considerably lower quality (dirty walls, stained curtains and chipped furniture) but because this was for only 1 night we didn't care so much, later however we complained with the office and the next time we came we got a normal one. All 4 apartments we got were located on higher floors (10-15), the apartment overlooking the street had much better view than those overlooking the inner yard, but it received a lot of noise from the street, even in the night (garbage trucks) and even with closed windows, if you are a light sleeper earplugs will be necessary in this case (personally I found “inner” apartments, lacking the view, better). All apartments were lacking air con but there was a fan which was enough (we were in early March and evenings were already cool, didn’t even use the fan). I totally cannot understand people who were complaining in their reviews about the reception. This is not a regular hotel, but a company which owns/rents several almost identical apartments in a big residential complex composed of four 18 floor high towers (named torre A-D). The reception in the main lobby (entrance from Huerfanos street) is logically not reception of the hotel, but general reception of the complex, however man/woman in the lobby will redirect you to the office of the hotel, which is in apartment 1414 tower D). Since the office is open roughly between 9 am and 5 pm, in case of late arrival there will be an envelope with a key to the room and wifi password waiting for you. In case of early check out you just leave the key inside the apartment. Things may get complicated if you arrive late and plan to leave early the next day, in this case you should arrange for the payment method before arrival. People in the reception are generally nice and collaborative, maybe they could process the check-in/out faster but we never experienced any unpleasant behaviour. They accept payment in US dollars and what is great they are not too picky about bills (in most exchange offices in Santiago they won’t accept 1 and 5 dollar bills, and they won’t accept any bills if they are not in super perfect condition which is very annoying). Cannot write anything about communication problems reported by some English speaking tourists because I spoke Spanish with them, I think however that before arriving in Chile it’s highly advised to learn some basic phrases such as “the room is dirty” or “we leave tomorrow at 8 am” not to give the staff possibility for any abuse. Very big bonus of this accommodation, not advertised on the website, is a swimming pool on the rooftop of tower A, with an amazing view of the city centre. If you arrive in cold season the swimming pool may be closed, it’s however still worth to go the rooftop terrace by the pool which should be open all year round (ask people in the main reception in the lobby). Another bonus are 24h laundromats situated, if I remember well, on the 22 floor of tower B. Costwise: as compared to other accommodations we had in Chile we found this place to have the best quality/price ratio (paid 45 USD per night).
