Apart Hotel Monjitas Center

As its name indicated, Hotel Monjitas is a tall (25 floors high) building that has permanent residents, mixed with small apartments, well equipped with cooking facilities (there is a small supermarket next to the building). Ours featured a living room, with sofa turned into a single bed. It led directly into a small kitchen with a big icebox, an electric cooking range, and drawers and shelves with utensils and glasses. The bedroom proper had a queen bed and attached full bathroom. The lady we dealt with was named Soledad. She did not speak much English, but it was not a problem since I know the language. She was extremely helpful and she also gave us all kinds of useful information about the neighborhood. For those not so inclined to cook, there is a small cafe downstairs, with a decent selection of breakfast items (croissants, muffins, etc...). Their "Cafe Americano" was excellent, too. Nice and friendly service, too. This hotel suited our needs just fine.
