Great place to stay for a couple of nights.  We had a private room with a private bathroom en suite.  Room was clean and nicely furnished/decorated. Kitchen was medium sized and well-equipped. Hostel is eco-friendly with recycling encouraged. Large and comfortable living room, also lovingly furnished. Great backyard space with ping-pong table, picnic tables/benches and a bar that cooks very tasty pizzas to order for a reasonable price.  Would definitely recommend.

Very nice hostel with a friendly, caring vibe

Stayed here as part of a dragoman tour. We had a BBQ on the first night that cost $7000 clp (for a vegetarian). The food was lovely but a lot of people asked for a part refund as most of the food was gone by the time they got there. My room was a think a 7 bed dorm which was linked with a door to another dorm which I'm not sure how many bed that was. It was also linked to another 2 bed room. All of these people shared one bathroom which could be quite chaotic. Also, the stairs lead straight upstairs into our room so whilst we had lockers, anybody could access our room as there was no door. Also one of the men that work there would regularly come through our room to get to the staff room which also came off the 7 bed dorm, so literally no privacy at all.
Another thing to note is that they have 2 huge dogs - both very friendly. However if you don't like dogs we did find one of them laying in our bathroom floor in the middle of the night. 
We did do horse riding which the hostel organised and was absolutely amazing experience.
Kitchen was fairly well equipped.
Overall the hostel was very nice a friendly but very disorganised.


good location, not great though

This hostel had a great idea, of being environmentally friendly and close to nature. But something happened along the way and it always feels like the owner have not finished it. A lot of money needs to be put in to renovate this place. The bathroom was leaking from everywhere, the linen was thin, as in washed as many times there is nothing left, the bar in the photos was abandoned long time ago, and maybe the cleaners of the pool went with them, because there is no way you can stick your toe in that water without getting a darker skin tone. The outside bathrooms/showers have a feeling of being half-done. Like there is literally no real floor. just some cement. A finishing layer of tile would be nice. And maybe a door. 

This thing with building things yourself is great, I may lead to great outdoor spaces to hang out in. But if its not constantly maintained, they just look like a 12-years olds half done school project that is now lying to rot in the garbage. The whole bar-section with bathrooms is like that. It was uncomfortable to go in there. 
 
Don´t get me wrong,I am a lover of hostels, i´ve been allover latin america sleeping in all kinds of places. I love how you get to know people making breakfast during your vacays, and with this also come a level of dirtyness. Not every visitor knows how to clean up after yourself. That's expected. But you do expect the bathrooms to work. Or the kitchen to be clean, or at least have some room in the refrigerator (was it old food or just full from people living there right now, i dont know)  . And you do expect a certain level of evelopment in the main living room. If you dont want a lot of trash, you should keep it emptier or clean it more often. Concerning the living room, why are there always people sleeping in the sofas in the living room? Do they not have a room?  Feels a bit unsafe as there is no locked doors.

So, even though i love hostels, and am not a specially clean person, this hostel was dirty, trashy, and in desperat need of maintanance. Like seriously, call a plumber! It is the worst  hostel I stayed at, and i traveled from mexico to Patagonia. The girl working there was nice, but it was obvious that she did not have any power in where the money goes. 

Its a shame with the beautiful house its located in, and the big garden with view to the vulcano of Villarrica. Please fix up or you will loose your customers.

And absolutely should be. DRAGOMAN Overland Tour Company took us here as part of yet another of their...CHEAP AND NASTY ( as a contrast to cheap and cheerful). It was grossly overcrowded. The kitchen facilities were so inadequate it brought members of our group to tears as she ate her dinner from a pot as that was the only vessel available. Our 6 bed ladies dorm had a power point hanging off the wall with exposed wires. Soiled toilet paper spilled all over the floor after the couple of days we were there it was not cleaned. Hubbys 4 bed had no inside shower available. Only one out next to the bar. No security. The fridges were appalling. The staff were pissed and loud overnight and required first aid treatment from us in the morning. Absolutely appalling.

This hostel is a good choice if you are looking for good vibes, eco thinking and nicely designed space. Staff are very friendly too. Unfortunately, I wouldn't stay here again as the hostel was extremely dirty (it looked as if no one hoovered, mopped, changed the bedsheets etc for weeks).
