Really nice staff, we were  a bit lost in La Serena and couldn't find a place with Internet, then we passed Cosmo hostel and they were really helpful! We didn't needed a hostel but it looked so nice if I come back in La Serena I would absolutely go to this hostel

Great location, not far from the centre, the most beautiful beach, good shops & bars. Funky art everywhere. Great breakfast. Fully equipt kitchen you are free to use, laundry, and bike hire on site which is always ace! Agus and the whole team were so friendly and helpful from the start, making even me, a very shy person feel at home. There are various activities/games in the evening if you wish and if not they aren't so loud you can't sleep through them! Over all an amazing hostel with very good vibes ✌✌✌

The staff here will always treat you as friendly as possible. What I loved the most about the place was that the staff there felt like they were a lovely and united family. Great place to chill and socialize!

I have to give this place 5/5 purely based on how helpful and friendly the staff were. Me and my boyfriend only stayed for one night but they had no problems helping us sort out a couple of problems we had and persistently were calling the companies we needed to contact even when we weren’t around. The hostel itself has a really nice vibe and has cool decor! You can drink your own alcohol on the rooftop and socialise with everyone from the hostel. Definitely worth checking out if your in La Serena for any length of time!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night. From the moment we got here all the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We had a problem with a booking and asked the receptionist for some help she was straight on it. Constantly trying to call the company we needed to get in contact with. She had no luck on the first day and when it came to check out day we saw her hobbling out of the hostel and had found out she had been knocked off her motorbike that morning. Still though she had managed to pass on all our information to the next receptionist and he managed to sort everything out for us.

Not only does this hostel have that kind of staff but it is also extremely nice with a very relaxed vibe, great shared kitchen and a bring your own alcohol roof top bar which is amazing.

We absolutely loved this place. It’s easy to get to by bus (we told the driver to drop us at Rivadavia en el Cruce and had about a 5 min walk, I think they usually drop you outside though). The hostel itself is beautiful and very unusual looking - room ‘eggs’ painted with space and animal murals, a small pool with loungers, a geometric dome and lots of colourful fabric that blows in the wind. We were instantly greeted by Susana, the most beautiful and sweetest dog in all the world (seriously) - also a cat but I’m not much of a cat person ha. The staff were very friendly despite our little Spanish and the majority only speaking Spanish, we were able to communicate and share a few jokes and tips for getting around though. The pool is nice (cold at first but lovely one you’re in), great sunbathing spots and a good kitchen for prepping food. There are a few small shops near by for ingredients, water, etc as the hostel doesn’t provide these itself. We only stayed 2 nights but during our stay the hostel planned a sushi night that we unfortunately had to turn down as we’d already bought food to cook. The beds are super comfy and the breakfast is good - one of the better ones we’ve had on our travels. In the evening all lights are off apart from red lights around the hostel to minimise light pollution and maximise the view of the stars - it’s truly breathtaking and lovely to lie on the sun loungers with a bottle of wine and take it all in. The bus service is reliable and easy to get to and from Pisco Elqui, Vicuña, La Serena and all in between. The hostel staff are great at recommending local activities/vineyards/observatories etc. We loved it here and wish we could’ve stayed longer but our schedule wouldn’t allow it. We never took advantage of the quartz bath either (make sure you do!) 100% stay here - loved it (oh but just remember there’s no WiFi!)

Nice hostel in perfect location. Staff is always friendly, helpful and funny and sometimes a little chaotic. Laundry service is available. Breakfast is simple but good. Rooms and bathrooms are a little run down, but all in all it's good value for the price.

Very relaxed hostel, in a good location. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Spacious rooms with big lockers and comfy beds, just lacking a number of plug sockets and maybe some brighter lights! Showers and toilets clean. 

I visited the new Cosmo Elqui hostel at Rivadavia near the Elqui Valley. It was the first night for them and I have nothing to criticise. The rooms  are individual domes which have a huge window to watch the stars. All facilities invite you to share with other guests. There is a fire place, a nice  pool and even Barbecues to grill. Top breakfast included. I'll come back definitely!
