I found the place to be clean and simple, there was no air conditioning, except for a fan, so it was a bit hot in the room, but hey its summer. The place was basic, comfortable bed, hot water, and a good place to stay for three days. The staff were also very helpful and had no problem storing a cheese I had bought with me in their fridge overnight. It was located about two blocks from the beach, so its pretty close for walking, not too many restaurants close by, a pizza place about a block away was closed at lunch, the nearest place I went to was along the boulevard peatonal and that was about 6 blocks away. There were a few closer places to eat at, but nothing of interest. For about 100USD- 50.000pesos a night it was a bit expensive for what was offered, but then again Iquique seems to be a bit expensive anyhow, and I am pretty sure that if you go any cheaper the quality would decrease drastically.
