8 reviewsWe two couples were looking for a central, affordable location to explore wine country. Found it at Homestay. Though Santa Cruz would have worked better for us, it is just a lot more expensive. Owner Guillermo was all about great service and being sure we were comfortable....though that was hard to do as it was very hot and our west-facing rooms were slow to cool down at night with only a fan. There is a small balcony off the two rooms that share a bath. Otherwise no outdoor space. It would have been great to have some garden seating. Terrific breakfast with brewed coffee rather than Nescafe, and fresh watermelon! The big downside is the shared bathroom which is quite dated and with very inconsistent hot water, even after the water heater was serviced. The double rooms are quite small but a closet with shelves allows for some unpacking. There is a triple room on the east side of the house, very spacious with private bath and an air conditioner. Definitely choose that one if it is available,
