I went with my partner for a weekend and I found it quite cozy apart from the good attention the weather was pleasant.

Acogedora is the name of a species of acogedora.

It's a place with very friendly people, rustic and has a beautiful garden, I traveled alone and had the opportunity to stay in a private room with a beautiful view of the hills and northern skies.

Everything is very rustic.

We arrived at Gabriela's house for a comment in a hostel of la Serena, located on Baquedano Street about 200 meters from the main street, higher than the hostel Triskel. There is no sign indicating that there is a hostel so we should ask the locals. More than a hostel is Gabriela's house and she rents some of her pieces. We stayed in a matrimonial room with a private bathroom, it is very clean and cozy. You can occupy the kitchen. I recommend it because it is very cheap for the prices of the area and it is clean and cozy but with the following observations, the first thing she told us upon arrival, is that the piece was not for you to have our honeymoon and that we would like to stay if we wanted to drink or smoke alcohol on the other side of the room.

Excellent place but with observations.

My friend and I travelled throughout South America for three months and Gabriela's house has to be the most warm, hospitable and lovely place we stayed at. Gabriela did welcome us with open arms into her house and we felt so comfortable there that we extended our stay in Pisco Elqui. Gabriela's house is an oasis of peace and tranquility. We were given a lovely, cozy and very clean twin room which we loved and you can use her kitchen to cook and of course her relaxing porch to have breakfast, dinner or simply watch the stars at night. Gabriela is absolutely charming and she made us feel completely at home. Sam and Estrellita, her cute puppies, are also great characters and they used to jump  on our beds every morning to wake us up. If you are looking for budget accommodation and a lovely place to stay with a great host  look no further. Gabriela doesn't advertise so you will only hear about her place through word of mouth. To find her place walk up the hill from Hostal Triskel about five minutes and her house is on the left hand side or ask any locals for la casa de Gabriela. Everyone knows her in Pisco Elqui.

I arrived at Hostal Baquedano through a recommendation from Vicuña... I arrived in Vicuña through a recommendation from La Serena... etc. Basically it was word of mouth that unexpectedly led me here! The first time I stayed, there was another group of travelers who were possibly going to occupy the rooms. So, Gabriela set me up in her personal taller where she had another bed. The room was large and it was great to be able to see her works as well.

The hostel is a steep hike away from the plaza, but it's very tranquil and close to the mirador as well, for walks at night to see the stars.

I liked it so much that I came back to Pisco Elqui in November 2013 with my boyfriend, and we spent our nights at Hostal Baquedano.

La casa de Gabriela es tu casa

My wife and I arrived in Pisco for the 18th. We spent 4 wonderful nights in this hostel that looks like your home, for its comfort, familiarity and tranquility. The hospitality of Gabriela, the owner, is the best. We stayed in the matrimonial room with bathroom, very comfortable and beautiful, from the porch of the house where one can have breakfast looking at the mountains and the sky. You can use the kitchen and everything as if it were your home. I highly recommend it if you plan to rest and enjoy the wave of the Elqui Valley. If you go to an observatory, I highly recommend the Cancana. If you have a car, you go to Cochiguaz and it is right there. For 7.500 is a good experience with Victor, an astronomer who is very keen and is willing to answer all questions.

Your house is in Pisco Elqui

This place exudes peace and quiet and friendliness.  

We stayed for 3 blissful nights, met some really great Chileans and Europeans, found our own space and peace, and were treated to warm hospitality and friendship by our beautiful host, Gabriela.   

While all of Pisco Elqui is a treasure, it was great to walk up the hill and get away from the tourist crowds (and noise) to our own little tranquil haven.  This place is highly commended by two grumpy, hyper critical old travellers.

Hello, I wanted to leave my story in the hostel baquedano we traveled from santiago till pisco elqui our trip to pisco elqui was at 04:30 am and recorded the owner of our hope and facilitate the room which was very warm when waking up we noticed that the hostel is very simple with a more homey atmosphere with a tile inside which if we were taught to use we could use the facilities without any problems anyone towards the noise of sleeping or resting was also possible to highlight the cleanliness and decoration I recommend it for people who are looking for something simple rustic without luxurious human condo near the plaza and the hot shops restaurants bars etc.
