My friend and I travelled throughout South America for three months and Gabriela's house has to be the most warm, hospitable and lovely place we stayed at. Gabriela did welcome us with open arms into her house and we felt so comfortable there that we extended our stay in Pisco Elqui. Gabriela's house is an oasis of peace and tranquility. We were given a lovely, cozy and very clean twin room which we loved and you can use her kitchen to cook and of course her relaxing porch to have breakfast, dinner or simply watch the stars at night. Gabriela is absolutely charming and she made us feel completely at home. Sam and Estrellita, her cute puppies, are also great characters and they used to jump on our beds every morning to wake us up. If you are looking for budget accommodation and a lovely place to stay with a great host look no further. Gabriela doesn't advertise so you will only hear about her place through word of mouth. To find her place walk up the hill from Hostal Triskel about five minutes and her house is on the left hand side or ask any locals for la casa de Gabriela. Everyone knows her in Pisco Elqui.
