The hotel is located conveniently close to the main town plaza, but is tucked away behind the main shopfront stores along Calle O'Higgins (the Sky Airlines office).  The lady on reception was not the friendliest person we've encountered in Chile, but she functioned well enough in enabling us to get to our room.  We did have to ask if she wouldn't mind turning the lights on for the third floor and she seemed somewhat surprised to be asked for an additional key to the room (which isn't available).

The apartment itself is OK, with a neat little dining/living area with couch.  The kitchenette is small but functional, complete with gas-fired hot water heater (note to self - remember to leave the windows slightly ajar to allow for ventilation, despite it appearing to have a flue).  There is a microwave, two gas burners (small and large), a sink, an un-flued and therefore nearly useless extractor (range hood), plus a small fridge.

The master bedroom is a bit squeezy and only has one bed-side table.  There was a small lamp, minus the globe.  Power points are inconveniently located behind the middle of the bed.  There's a flat screen on the wall beside the door.  The sheets appeared to be clean, but have certainly seen better days, with several stains evident.

The bathroom is internally located and as such, suffers from ventilation problems, as evidenced by the relatively minor mould.  The small extractor fan helps a bit but is overwhelmed.  Towels are, frankly, a bit shabby.

First-pass observations are that cleanliness isn't too bad, however with more time, it became apparent that it wasn't too good either.  There had been attempts made, but just not done very well.

Overall, given the price (around US$130 per night), I think they could do a far better job, not to mention provide better towels!  Problem is that the competition doesn't do much better.
