We broke our bus journey here as we travelled from Atacama back to Santiago. There is little to see or do in Caldera and our trip to the resort at Bahia Iglesia was disappointing as even by lunch time there was nothing open even for a cup of coffee. However, the hotel,close to the bus station, was very comfortable. Clean, plenty of hot water, TV, soap and towels all good. 30,000 pesos a night was good value. The lady running the place spoke excellent English and was very helpful. We ate lunch and dinner in the Cafe Americano on the main square which was basic but good.
