Wonderful that's what I say ! Our king bed sooo comfy , private bathroom , shared giant kitchen that has absolutely everything ! Our room was on the second floor and if you feel like getting out of your room there is a lovely shared balcony . Nice quiet area within walking distance for food or drink . We were picked up at the airport which is only a ten minute drive to Major Rod's . Great value $80 .

Staying 6 nights here, 5 minute walk to bus station, which will take you all over the island for $3.50,plenty of food, bars restaurants right across the street, beach less than a minute away. Unbelievable value in a VERY expensive country. Daniel is the best, he'll get you whatever you need.

Stayed here 1-16 through 1-20-16 with a friend. This was my third time at the property, but first in a private room. Note: the dorm is currently not in service as it is being converted to another private quarters. Management indicated plans for a new dorm, but no word on when. Anyway the private room was clean, bed comfortable, and ac worked well. $80/night is what we paid. Shared bathroom. Pretty bare bones, but all that is needed. If you aren't picky, you can't beat the price and location. Deducted one star due to communication issues with setting up the reservation. I would stay here again.

I enjoyed my first stay in January so much that I decided to return over the 4th of July weekend. I stayed in the dorm. It must be understood that the accommodations are quite spartan. However they were clean and the ac works well at night (it struggles to keep up with the daytime heat). My only minor inconvenience was that there was a radio left on all night in the adjoining private room. Fortunately the volume was minimal, so it wasn't a real disruption to my sleep. Staff is very friendly, and you can't beat $30/night on this island. Location is convenient to world class snorkeling and diving (Eden rock site is a short walk and swim from shore), in addition to bars, restaurants, and a grocery. Grand Cayman has immense natural beauty, and this place makes it possible to appreciate it without breaking the bank.

Awesome place!!!!

While I cannot comment on the place itself, I just felt this is worth sharing with other travelers as a general warning:

I was planning to stay here for a couple of days. Upon landing on the Grand Cayman, you must provide your intended accommodation on your immigration form. 
That got me into trouble: I was told by the officer at passport control that "the place is condemned" and that they might have to make me book another hotel on the spot before they can let me in.
After some back and forth and me reassuring I would stay somewhere else, they finally let me in, but it has apparently happened that they made people book another place on the spot.
