Very nice. The room was cosy and clean and silent -with the windows closed, otherwise roosters and music at any time. The girl who manages the room is very easy going, she also let us use the kitchen to cook our own dinner. Breakfast was good, toilets seem new, there is a nice terrace where to go for a smoke. Very relaxing over all. 

We stayed for 5 nights in Tarrafal and this place is soooo cheap. I didn't mind the bad view - all you see is a neighborhood of broken houses, it looks a bit like you are in a war zone. but that's Tarrafal or I should say Santiago in general. 
The hotel is very clean and new. not fancy but clean. Not the windows to have a look outside - I think they haven't even been cleaned after building the hotel, but clean in the rooms. I have a bug phobia and didn't spot a single bug. I felt very comfortable there. Breakfast is simple but ok. They don't speak English at all. We communicated via google translator, which worked fine. Very friendly staff. 
What we didn't like is they never made up the room in 5 nights. Our trash can in the bathroom filled up, and since you're not allowed to throw away toilet paper in the toilet that was all in there. It wpuld habe been nice to get that trash emptied every day or every other day. 
Also, the shower is very tiny. We are both relatively skinny - I don't know how someone showers there who is a bit overweight. Overall, really recommend this place!
