We spend 1 night in an economy room, which was expensive and without any window...
Price included breakfast which was served as a buffet but there were some insects in the cereals...Bread was OK but we could expect more for the price.
It is quiet sinceit is out of the city center

nice place for one night

The adress of the hotel was not correct its 500 meters out of town. Anyway so close so not a big problem really, friendly staff snd overall ok standard.

Ok stanard

You should not expect a four star European, American or Asian hotel when on Cabo Verde (except the all-inclusive resorts of course) so lower your standards a little and then look at a hotel again. This one is clean, pretty modern and all in all pretty good and probably above average of similar hotels.

Although we arrived late and departed early, the hotel was good enough for a nights rest. A few things that were not that perfect. Our room had two beds and only one extra blanket so one of us had to be cold that night. Breakfast was served but there were no plates, so we used out small saucer and the table itself and coffee was on low supply.

Modern for Cabo standards

Very few of the staff spoke english. Internet solution not good, but expensive.

This hotel was basic - but as my holiday in the lesser known Cape Verde islands progressed, I realised it was better than many of the others!   On the plus side, the showers produced hot water, and the dinner, though tiny, tasted fine.   Some rooms are nice - I was fortunate and got a window and a balcony.   Less fortunate travelling companions got rooms with tiny frosted glass apertures that merely looked into lightwells.   Breakfast was haphazard but edible.   There is no swimming pool, but there is a lido in the town centre, not far away.

Basic but tolerable

The staff were helpful and flexible from the beginning, letting me into my room early on my arrival day and letting me keep it late before departure.  Their resident taxi driver was on hand for transport. It's  a simple guest house with few luxury facilities, but the rooms are spacious and clean,  showers and wi-fi work well, breakfast is basic but fresh.

Friendly and helpful

We stayed here for two nights and, fortunately, were allocated a room with a window looking out on the hill opposite rather than a light-well.  This meant we had enough light during the day, but at night the bulbs were such low wattage that we could hardly see - certainly not enough to read, or even to sort out our luggage. The beds were fine, there was enough hot water when we wanted it and our room was reasonably quiet.
The hotel is situated about ten minutes walk from the town centre and is in a relatively quiet area.
Breakfast was appalling:  there was barely anything left when our group arrived (at a reasonable time) and nothing was done to replenish the empty serving-plates or to provide crockery and cutlery until we asked, and kept on asking.  On the first day things arrived very slowly, in dribs and drabs, so we eventually managed to get enough bread, cheese, sausage, tea, coffee, and, finally, just as we were about to go, bananas and even scrambled eggs.  On the second day things were worse: food and equipment were slow to arrive, or non-existent, even when repeatedly requested, and there weren't any teabags or hot water.  I felt it was quite frankly insulting to be expected to put up with such poor service.
Things were much better in the adjacent cafe: I found that service there was pleasant and efficient and the cachupa was very tasty, and hot.

Clean, with comfortable beds - but appalling breakfast and service.

We stayed at this small hotel as part of an organised walking holiday in the Cape Verde Islands. It's not a hotel I would have chosen. The service in the restaurant was extremely slow, on one occasion we waited over an hour for a simple meal - we were the only ones in the restaurant! Breakfast was poor - extras which were on the menu were not available – you got what you were given! It's on the outskirts of Mindelo and I guess there are better hotels in the centre of the town. The rooms were clean, but like other places in the Cape Verde Islands hot water was a scarce commodity.

Not a place I would go to again

This hotel is located about 5-10 walk from the downtown area of Mindelo. The rooms are very clean, appear to be new and are equipped with TV, fridge and air conditioning. Our room had a balcony overlooking the bay of Mindelo. Staff is friendly and speaks english well, which is not always the case in Cape Verde. Only downside to the hotel: the rooms are not very sound proof. If then a bunch of loud-talking portuguese check in at 3 am and take a shower next door (like we had), your night rest is ruined. Apart from that, this is a pretty good hotel, certainly offering better value for money than Casa Café.
