We stayed here for New Years Eve with my family. The pool area had food/ garbage on the deck. The pool area smelled so strongly of chemicals that my kids and I  had multiple coughing fits that prevented us from swimming longer than 20-30 minutes. Our room had no ventilation( wall mounted ac unit unusable in winter) so we slept with the bathroom fan on. There was a very cold draft coming from exterior wall. The room was damp and has no fresh air circulation. The room was dated an in need of renovations. We tried swimming again in the morning but the pool conditions were the same- maybe worse… food/bandaids/dirt on deck snd overwhelming chemical smell. We stayed for 10 minutes but had to leave due to difficulty breathing. We immediately checked out of the hotel. Upon checkout I shared my concerns. The following was explained to me:- the pool is checked 5 x a day ( not sure if this meant chemical testing or visual)- the pool smell is ‘swimmers gas’ which is a result of people not showering and the buildup of oils in water- that I was correct that our room had zero fresh air ventilation and had I called the front desk they could have brought a fan- they acknowledged the pool area was dirty and it should not be There was no offer of compensation for our issues.I then requested a discount and a nominal amount was taken off our bill. I am disappointed because the main reason we chose this property was for the pool and we weren’t able to use it as we had hoped.

Service was great. Rooms were probably renovated many years ago. We had a good time- beds are comfy

I took my family with three kids to Canad Inns Windsor park- we loved it! Our main attraction was for using the waterslide/ pool/ hot tub. It was perfect! The room was clean and large- very quiet and well insulated. The buffet was good- all the staff was very friendly and helpful! What a great trip! Thank you all for making it a great experience:)

For the quality of rooms/facilities/service, this hotel is overpriced. If you get a room with an indoor window, if you were to open your blinds people eating their dinner can see into your room. Also, if you have an indoor room…zero ventilation with an ancient air unit that does nothing but circulate the stale musty (or mouldy?) odour which is in the majority of the rooms. Also, the noise. Aside from other guests treating the hallways like an indoor track at all hours, there is a popular bar attached to the hotel…so on a Friday or Saturday, I wish you the best of luck with getting some sleep. And lastly, I had the dinner buffet one night. It wasn’t horrible but the options were limited and seemed like they were all bought from the frozen section of the grocery store. I’d say avoid the broccoli/cauliflower dish cause something was most definitely off with it. Oh, and with tax/tip you’re pushing 40$ per person. Just like the hotel, overpriced for the quality of what you’re getting.Overall I gave two stars because staff were pleasant and my room, despite the odour, was visibly clean at check-in. I also want to say, in reading the reviews for the hotel…every single negative comment that got a response from the owner/manager received the same word for word copy and pasted response. This doesn’t reassure guests at all that you’re doing something about the concerns they raise, it does the opposite. I will not be coming back to this Canad Inn location.

The smell of the hotel was off putting, our room was disgusting when we pulled the sheets back to check the bed we found bed bugs and hair it was disgusting. All the reviews saying it was clean, really? It was not. The front desk clerk was pleasant that’s the only good thing I have to say. Needless to say, we checked out as fast as we checked in and they weren’t the least bit surprised that we found bugs.
