Wow, My wife and I stayed at The doctors house and we were amazed at the clean large room!, The food and service was awesome,,The staff clearly love their job, The ponies were sweet not to mention the grounds and trails were a plus! , Highly recommend at least a couple night for sure, Thank you to all staff who made our stay magical!

Our visit to the doctors was a fantastic experience.  The amazing  food and service and the beautiful views and hikes, our time spend here was truly breath taking. I highly recommend the doctors house for anyone looking to experience on of the most beautiful getaways on this island.

I absolutely cherish this place and every minute I spend there. Stayed here multiple times and have never ever been disappointed. The glorious property is breathtakingly stunning and the rooms, food and service are second to none. Every wish is granted. Do not hesitate to book your next stay here! Can't wait to return.

My husband & I enjoyed a delightful weekend at the Doctors House .
The room was comfortable plus plus and the view was pure delight , it looked out over the ocean. 
The grounds were magnificent with walking trail’s everywhere.
The food was gourmet and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Sunday evening The Spirit of Newfoundland productions played at the palatial barn /dining hall , it was a show not soon to be forgotten. They performed “Where Once they Stood “ a very moving performance that could and should be on Broadway.

Of course we spent  time at the spa, pure delight.

The weekend at the Doctors House was one of peace and relaxation, truly a little piece of heaven.


I just can’t get over how amazing my stay was here. The fall scenery and landscaping were magnificent! I truly felt as if I had entered another world when I came to The Doctor’s House. I felt an air of serenity call around me, I felt at peace and was very comfortable. 

The Inn itself is absolutely gorgeous. Each room what is super comfortable with a great bed and a great view. The art everywhere really adds to the atmosphere. 

Service was impeccable and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! We enjoyed going down to the cliffs and having a campfire, we loved walking along the trails, and we adored all of the animals…goats are my new favourite animal! The ponies were fun to feed as well. 

Can’t go wrong with a great hot tub and getting warm afterwards by the big stone fireplace :)

 I came here with a few girlfriends but I am definitely recommending this place to everyone I talk to and I am going back soon with my family this winter. I bet this place is a real winter wonderland and my kids would love it! 

Talking to the staff, I can just imagine how beautiful this place is in every season. From talking with friends it seems that we have all really enjoyed our stays here. If I ever get married, this is where I want to be for my special day!

We stayed for one night in a Daffodil room which are motel like buildings away from the main inn.  Although the outside looked like a motel, the Inn did a wonderful job with the decor, great bed, etc inside.  It was also great to be able to walk on the trails on the property, feed the animals, etc.  We also ate in the restaurant for dinner which was very pricey…and the meal didn’t quite stack up to the price.  My beef tenderloin came luke warm and overcooked.

My son had his wedding there on August 24 and it was fantastic! The accommodations were excellent, the service was great, the food was delicious and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The ocean view and the farm animals made for some fantastic pictures. What a great place for a wedding or family reunion!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Doctor’s House! Stayed in the Crimson Maple suite in the main inn building. Beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the garden. Check in was an easy process, we were a little late so called Joe the inkeeper and he was there within seconds! The next morning we woke early and went out to explore the beautiful grounds at sunrise. Absolutely stunning! We met up with Joe again and he allowed us to help feed the horses! Breakfast was great! We had scalp massages in the afternoon which were wonderful. Dinner was fabulous, the best scallops we’ve ever eaten! The staff were very attentive providing outstanding service. Special thank you to Joe, Donna and Melissa and her spa team. Check out was easy just dropped the key off. We will definitely be back and will see recommend to our friends! Wonderful stay!

The young lady at the front desk was very helpful. I believe her name was April.
She upgraded our room to an ocean room which was really lovely.
Our dinner in the restaurant was excellent as was the service.
Thank you Diane as you made it lots of fun.
The breakfast was very slow but very good and hearty for sure.
I would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Spent the weekend here and I must say, the surroundings are beautiful. Flowers in bloom, the rooms are so comfortable and the food is amazing. I have to throw a bouquet out to the amazing staff. They work so hard and are so busy but still take time to talk to you and help you with anything they can. April at the front desk is the best!!! Hailey in the dining room is an absolute sweetheart.  The service is above and beyond.  The food is top notch and tastes Devine!
I love everything about this heaven on earth. Dont take my word though...go try it out. Worth every penny!!

Spectacular!

Greens Harbour ‘s Hidden Gem

The Doctor's House could use some better signs to help people find their way to this remote location.  But once we did get there, we discovered beautiful grounds and buildings, lovely scenery, flowers in full bloom, horses in the pasture, very friendly staff -- all in a very peaceful setting.  It was nice to follow trails to the water or explore the buildings.

We were fortunate to be there when it was not busy, on a weeknight, so it did seem very quiet and serene.  But we did notice that the sound carries easily from room to room so we were glad the place was mostly empty.

The meals were delicious!  However, the service was very slow.  We waited over an hour for our breakfast even though there were only 5 tables with patrons.  It was similar in the evening for dinner.  They seemed to be short-staffed or training new staff.  That was unfortunate.

The perfect Getaway 

The room was lovely but the walls are extremely thin. It was like we were actually in the same room with the people next door. We could hear their conversation in detail. The fact they had no TV was really disappointing as we enjoy watching a bit at the end of the day. If we could have had TV in our midst it would have drowned out what we were hearing next door as well. We attended the dinner theatre and that was wonderful. Meal and banquet room was lovely except for a table next to us that had an unruly guest and people in her party were also rude to people around that table. It's a trip I'd do once but will not be trying again.

No privacy.

My wife and I stayed at the Doctor’s House for 2 nights. We had a good time but were disappointed compared to the website photos, price and luxury description.

The rooms are reasonable. Aspen room had some view with small balcony. A room we looked at on the ground floor had bigger balcony but no sea view or character. Had a 4 poster bed but otherwise didn’t feel very heritage . Also I think the Reno done was quite cheap as for example instead of bathroom floor tiles they have Lino with pictures of tiles. No fridge in the room was a surprise for the price as there was space there.

Breakfast was not included in our rate. We did have a $150 food deal  which was more than spent for dinner at the restaurant. The barn loft place they are using for dining is nice, and the food was pretty good. Not remarkable considering mains around $40 though.

Common sitting area decent but again not good enough to make it worth it compared to some of the cheaper but still good B&Bs.

The grounds should be quite good in the summer but a couple of weeks after the Hurricane they were still in a state. We did enjoy feeding the animals.

The check in reception could also be much improved to give a more welcoming arrival. It is a bit of a shabby office. Staff were pleasant enough. No staff after 5.

With some improvements this place could be very good. Having said that it still looks like a good place for a wedding event due to the setting for the reception area and being able to accommodate a large group in the grounds. But I wouldn’t recommend it to friends considering there are  options in such as dildo.
