Great weekend stay!! Excellent customer service from owners!! we wish we could have stayed longer!! quiet, beautiful, clean, cozy and enjoyed the pool immensely too!! visited with others who were staying, while in pool area!! we had such a great time!!

We stayed during the week at one of the Deluxe cabins for our honeymoon [we got married mid June 2024].  We went when it wasn't busy in West Hawk Lake, so it was amazing for us!  We had a king-sized bed, a jacuzzi tub inside the cabin, a whole kitchen, a bbq with provided propane, nice bathroom with shower, online service and nice-quality tv and entertainment units.  We also had a dry sauna in our cabin, but we didn't get the cabin mainly for this.

I rarely say something like this [as I'm a bit of a hermit], but I could have easily stayed longer and was very cozy in our lodge!  The staff was all very friendly.  The only negative experience we had was that we came when the mosquitos were a bit more intense, but that's not on the lodges at all.  We came prepared to deal with that, as at home we have mosquitos really bad.  My only recommendation for patrons is to check the windows to make sure any mosquitos are sneaking in, there were a couple windows in our cabin where the screen was a bit loose or had a hole and should we have kept them open longer, more mosquitos would have gotten in.  Fortunately most of the windows did not have this issue.

Seriously, an amazing place.  I heard in passing about this place from a few people after mentioning we went here, its reputation as a great place definitely is something it lived up to!  I'd gladly return and recommend the place.  I love being in nature, having deer and other wildlife nearby was what I wanted.  Had a deer come right up to me while I was BBQ'ing food!

We initially tried to book our stay for 2020, however because of covid we were unable to get childcare so kept having to push our booking back. The owners were so accommodating and understanding, we were finally able to make the trip in June 2022. From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the calm and relaxed atmosphere. Check in was quick and easy, we were in our cabin within minutes. We stayed in cabin number 9 and LOVED it. Everything had been cleaned to an exceptionally high standard. As long as you keep the door closed you can save yourself from the bugs. I seem to attract mosquitoes more than the next person but I found that the bugs weren’t too bad in the day and in the evening they seemed to leave me alone when covered in bug spray! It’s to be expected for the area. It was nice having a clean and cool cabin to escape too though and the jacuzzi tub was enormous - bigger than it looks in the pictures. We spent some of the afternoon relaxing by the pool. We noticed it was cleaned with a net on a regular basis - multiple times while we were sat there - so the pool is lovely and clean and hardly any bugs floating around because they really keep on top of that. There are dvds and games you can borrow which was nice for the evening. Unfortunately we didn’t see any deer - perhaps it was too hot, we were there on a particularly hot weekend but it didn’t take anything away from the stay as it was just such a lovely place to be anyway. I also got my animal fix in the shape of the owners dogs - they are adorable! We will certainly be back so I’m sure we will see the deer some time. Overall, it’s the perfect place to relax and get some quiet time. I cannot fault this place at all! Thank you for a great experience. We will be back!

We just returned from spending two relaxing days in Unit 11 at Tall Pines.   Check in was a breeze.  The unit itself was very clean and contained everything one needs.  The unit contains a two person jacuzzi, sauna and an electric fireplace for added comfort.  We decided to eat in both days and made use of the gas BBQ.  Each morning, we were visited by friendly deer, who will eat right out of your hand.  We highly recommend Tall Pines to any couple who is looking for relaxing solitude and cozy comfort.

Decided to try this place based on a recommendation from a couple friends and are happy we did. My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights in Superior Chalet 6 and we were not disappointed. This is a newly renovated cabin and it was beautiful!  I’ve seen pictures of the non renovated cabins and I can’t say for sure that I would have given a 5 star if we were in a non removed cabin.  The check in was quick and the girl was super friendly and helpful.  The owners 2 dogs and cat generally greet you as well.  It’s adults only, quiet and peaceful but within a couple min walk down to the beach and ice cream stand. There is a pool, shuffle board and horseshoes to keep you occupied. We just enjoyed sitting on the deck playing board games and then watching the football game on the satellite tv. The kitchen has everything you need to create full meals (I just wish the stovetop had an exhaust vent) 
The bed is super comfy and the jacuzzi is plenty large enough for a “plump couple”  
The deer will come right up to your deck and greet you while your sitting outside as well. 
Loved our time here and will be back.

Okay ya’ll! About 4 years ago I wrote a review. I was sad to say it wasn’t a great review. All that doesn’t matter now. After the last time, I wasn’t sure we would ever go back. Well my husband and I needed to get away out of our chaotic life for a bit and decided to take a chance and once again book at Tall Pine. We booked the superior lodge. Thankfully we were able to get it so soon because of a cancellation the day prior. Well, we found out it was newly renovated. And let me tell you I was blown away!!!! In that particular lodge, The floors are beautiful! The tub was clean, heck the whole cabin was clean. It felt like we were where we needed to be!!! The bed was AMAZING! Not to soft but not to hard! In the 3 night stay we were there we left for 1 hour for a bit of a drive! The rest of the time we stayed in our lodge, enjoying the tranquility and the homey atmosphere! I could go on and on about how wonderful our stay was! I said 4 years ago I wasn’t sure I would come back. Well let me eat my words! My husband and I will definitely be coming back. And we won’t be waiting 4 years! Good job guys, on the Reno’s! It’s paradise there! God bless!

My husband and I were looking to get out of the city just a little staycation. We couldn’t of picked a better place. We stayed in chalet 5, we had no complaints. Quiet, peaceful. We did the McGillvery falls trail and dragon fire trail but were great!! Would recommend!! I should also say that I’m very new to doing hiking trails and I think I’ve found my new favourite thing to do outside!!

10/10 would recommend this resort to family and friends! When we got there we were greeted by the really friendly front desk lady! Went to our cabin and we had got the romantic package that included chocolates, white wine, rose pedals on the bed, candles, and bath products! (I would recommend getting the package... or buy the green bath salt “bamboo” something or other it makes bubbles and smells fantastic!) Peaceful, relaxing, & secluded! The cabin was really clean, bed was like a cloud, pillows were amazing. Only cons were myself not looking into the amenities and realizing they hadn’t an oven, just a stove top. We just used the BBQ and it wasn’t a big deal overall! And there wasn’t really a spot to put our boots kinda just kept putting them outside or tripping over them when cooking lol... but that was pretty minor. If I was giving advice, pack a robe for the sauna and jacuzzi, bring aluminum foil, bring bbq friendly cookware, and get the romantic package! Worth it! Thanks for the memorable and enjoyable time! We will be back for sure in the new year! 

We found out about this resort only this summer unfortunately. Visited twice already. It’s such a nice gateway. Walking distance to the beach. You have a private cottage for you and your partner. Can enjoy hot tub, fireplace, tv (movie rental available). BBQ outside. Deer comes to visit you. Both times we stayed 1 night and had early check in and late check out which was very comfortable. Sauna was also great. Looking forward to visit again in winter! Thank you

My wife and I try to get out to Tallpine Lodges at least once a year, if not more. It is our little getaway place in Manitoba. The owners are always very accommodating and friendly and the service is second to none. We love the privacy and seclusion of Tallpine Lodges. It is close enough to West Hawk that you can walk to get ice cream or snacks, but secluded enough to offer privacy. We also enjoy communing with nature. The deer come around to visit and are a wonderful addition to our getaway.  We look forward to coming back again and again.

Best few days we had in 4 years!!!

First time visit but won’t be out last.

We just returned from a 3 night stay in cabin 11 for our wedding anniversary.
Such an amazing place. Clean, quiet and staff couldn’t have been more friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. There is lots to do in the area even in the winter. Hiking and cross country skiing followed by a steak supper and jacuzzi tub/sauna while watching Jets game is all I could have ever wanted in a winter get away. The deer are a definite bonus. We will be back!
