Mount Robson Heritage Cabins

My pal and I were motorcycling from Texas to Alaska and back (summer 2017) and we stayed in countless places en route.... this was the best by a country mile... but it is not for everyone - be warned! We only ended up here because it was a holiday weekend and everywhere was booked but zooming in on google found this place and Rocky - the Japanese owner. Tricky to find and the gates with lots of locks and chains were a little disturbing... Rocky was not happy that we arrived on motorcycles but soon warmed to our British accent... there is really only one of the cabins that is habitable - the r4st are in various states of neglect but charming with it. We were his only guests, apart from the bears... as Brits we thought he was joking but be warned that a family of bears will wander onto your porch and browse berries next to your motorcycle! Needless to say we loved it... the area is outstandingly beautiful and we would have explored more if we had not been so frightened of the bears lol!! The trains whistle and thunder past then total silence... the water tatses of sulphur and has stained all the porcelain and the furnishings are from the 50's... loved it for one night and it was so memorable. Under different circumstances it could have easily been a disaster so go forwarned! Oh... and he only accepts cash!! What a place, I wish I could have found more like it!
