I would start by saying big Thank You to Kellyanne and Rod for everything. Our experience started when we planned our trip to Vancouver Island - after contacting them by phone, they agreed to host us for 2 nights in peak season (officially there is minimum of 3 nights in August). But eventually we stayed there 1 more night. Since there were road closures (due to fire in June on Highway 4), they kept sending us updates about road condition and advised us when to arrive, to avoid the long queues in the road. Happily arrived, we stayed in Uncle John suite which was just perfect for us. Everything was so clean, so organized and the instructions left for us in the suite covered each and every aspect of the it. Suite is big and it has deck. Bath is huge, with shower that you just don't want to leave. Neighborhood is very quiet - the only noise might be the deers coming to visit an morning :) My recommendation - if you're visiting the Pacific Rim National Park, stay in Ocean Mist Guesthouse in Ucluelet - it is a peaceful town close to all you need: amazing trails, free beaches, Whale Watching tours, restaurants, gas station, grocery store, and - it is much cheaper than Tofino. Here you don't have to pay for parking :)
