I have to admit that I wasn't really sure if I would go with this place, based on the pictures I saw in the booking. But it has a HOT breakfast buffet, AYCE, and that usually cranks up my willingness to try new places. I was not let down. This place is far better than the age of it appears on the outside. The inside is fully renovated and in great condition. It has a full hot breakfast served in their dining area (though part of it isn't used for breakfast, only the main area is). They have take-out to your room at night, which is also nice (and is a service I also used). The rooms are big, and the beds are comfortable. I only had one issue with appearance in the room, and that was a small patch of carpet that looks like it was replaced at some point. Fair enough; since the hotel isn't new. And for a hotel of this age, I usually expect the rooms to smell like they had been smoked in at some point in history. But nope, the air in the rooms and the entire building was perfect. I'm quite impressed with this place, and will likely stay here again if I'm staying in this city.
