The location is just far enough out of the center of town to be quiet, and close enough to be handy to day trips or shopping. The cottage was comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed. The wood stove was especially nice as we we had some wet and cold evenings. The QR code entry/exit system does get a bit to get used to (there is a bit of a trick of where to place your phone), but once you get it you're in/out quickly. The only thing I would change is the dishes, the cups and bowls were *tiny* LOL

Comfortable and well-appointed

There is a lack of cleanliness in the shower and toilet facilities, there is also a lack of toilet paper, the campsites are excellent and surrounded by trees, the community hall is very small and very eco-friendly.

Camping is acceptable!

We had reserved 2 lots, our friends couldn't show up so cancel because it was impossible within 48 hours of notice, so we paid for the 2 lots, technically the lots belonged to us for the 2 days, but surprised they rented the 2nd lot, I showed up at the school office to get my money back but the lady refused to pay us back, on the grounds that I didn't have a parking unit on the 2nd lot...shortly never again uncommon camping...besides the lots were very, very small...

Very unpleasant owner

The sites are so small that it's impossible to think of letting children move. The playground is very ordinary and there's no corner to just play frisbee without risking hitting a stranger. Don't think you can go and make kids laugh at the games of hibernation, they close early and if you go they'll charge you $100 more taxes directly on your credit card. Intimacy is zero. We have to spend all our time asking children to whisper and make less noise so as not to disturb other campers.

What to Avoid If You Have Children

It could be a nice place if the number of sites were split in two. The unused campsite is set for six tents which is a lot too much. You almost have to settle in the trees. The fireplace is so small and close to the tent that we didn't risk setting fire for fear of burning it. The picnic table was full of little white worms. Intimacy is just zero, on one side you'll hear neighbors whispering about each other, neighbors turning on their mattresses.

One of the worst campsites in 30 years of travel in Quebec!

The sites are far too small. There is no garbage except at the reception. There is only a sanitary site. It is very good for washing dishes but there was no toilet paper from 7pm and still not at 9am. The owners are not hospitable, you will feel disturbed. The web site is closed in the evening and you will not want to spend the whole day on the campsite.

Get out of the way!

The land without services is tiny and offers absolutely no privacy, and you have to be a Rush Hour champion to get out of the parking lot, and the owners are arrogant and unpleasant.

Disappointing

When we arrived we were surprised that the unused campgrounds were so clogged with each other, especially 123-124. We were the unfortunate owners of 123 which was filled with tree trunks. We were forced to whisper to avoid disturbing the other campers. The small river mentioned is nonexistent.

Disappointment

We arrived late and left in the morning, but we really enjoyed the reception. The tent grounds are great, very private, lots of trees and it feels like nature... Before we left, we went around the campsite and saw the cottages from above... just WoW!

It's a beautiful campsite in nature.

I had made a reservation for one night but because of COVID the owners decided to close the campsite. So they called me to let me know that they were canceling my reservation. When I got my credit, I was surprised to see that they kept a cancellation fee of $10.00 plus taxes so $11.50. They're the ones who cancel and not me, and it still charges me. I called and the owner Bernadette told me that it was to cover the cost of their printer, pencil and phone... but I said that as long as I thought it was fair to say that the decision to close it's not to take these costs.
