The property is a little dated but very clean. The location is 10 steps from the beach and the staff is super friendly. I would absolutely stay there again!!!

It was exactly what i was expecting. It is a dated motel, but the price was right, and the location was excellent. The room was clean, the service was fantastic.

The lodge is a friendly, warm, and clean place to stay, and one I would be happy to return to. The location is unparralled in town, right across from the beach, no need to walk more than 100 ft. Making it easy to run back and grab anything you may have forgot. The new management team works hard to make the stay comfortable, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. Management works to know everyone currently staying and giving a friendly “hello” and “good morning”whenever they see you.

Fabulous location and staff, couldn’t ask for better. My family and I had an excellent time. Clean but needs some updating and repairs.

We stayed here for a long weekend.  The hotel was fully booked for one night, so, I'm sure, it was louder than normal. Despite being so busy, the noise was kept to a minimum.  The staff was very welcoming and accommodating.  There is enough parking on site for at least one vehicle per room.  The hotel is located in the perfect location.  It is walking distance to all the spots you, as a tourist,  would want to see.  The food options near by are great. The kitchenette gave us a great option to eat in if we chose to do so.  Thank you Racoon staff for the great experience. We will chitter at you next time we are staying in your area.

This is a 1950s era motel/hotel. It is clean and friendly, and the hosts are great. You can't get a better location near the beach in Sylvan Lake. The section I stayed in is of cedar log panabode construction, which I found pleasant. I was told it is scheduled to be replaced by a condo develpment next year. They are hoping the cedar logs will be for sale.

New Owner, Great Experience

This was a very nice place for me and my boyfriend to stay, very close to restaurants/pubs and you are right across the beach, the provincial park is just an extra 5 minute walk. Convienent stored are close same with some morning breakfast options. Overall everyone especially staff was very welcoming and polite. I was provided with a two stove kitchenette with a couple plates/bowls/untensiels along with a pot and a pan. I do recommended you bring your own pillows as the ones provided are a little flat. My room had an extra pillow. Overall it was a very lovely place to stay and you are surrounded by necessities and lots of options to dine !!

Very friendly couple at the front counter that gave great service!  Had a few pleasant conversations with them and they were helpful and accommodated us on the few things we needed.  Excellent location close to the beach and right on the main strip.  Was a little noisy at night, but that’s to be expected for the location.  Overall a great stay and I will definitely be back!

The rooms are pretty basic, but that's to be expected for the low price. Decent enough, no major issues. The primary reason to stay here is the excellent location. Literally steps away from the beach, and within walking distance of all of the pubs and restaurants on the strip. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location! Good amenities in the kitchenette. The furniture needs to be replaced (small couch). Have to ask for the wifi which was not available in the morning, should be! Simple, clean and convenient which was exactly what was wanted. Was there for one night, would stay two if that was what the weekend required.

Convenience is good!

Had a nice stay at this location. Perfect for walking to the beach and restaurants. The room was clean, towels provided on request and a fairly well stocked kitchenette.Comfortable for myself and 4 kids. A wall mounted tv would get beneficial in the main room as the pony wall blocks the view from the futon.A few more cutlery items would have been nice and while the room was quite warm the fans and AC were sufficient.Second time here and will definitely stay again.
