This place has history. We enjoyed our stay here coming from the USA for a funeral. It was an excellent place for "home-base" for a couple of days. We ate at the Inn for dinners and there was a kitchenette for very basic breakfasts. The hot water supply was temperamental. Enjoyed the downtown location and we had no problem parking for free. We enjoy supporting local businesses and off-the-beaten path places. This was a great stay.

I definitely enjoyed my stay and will come back in the future.  Although some people that stayed in this room complained of problems with lack of hot water for bathing and that the room was cold, but I found no problems at all with heat or water.

Very friendly staff. Able to order and take to my room. Close to hospital where my husband was. Would come again.

The air conditioning for each room needs to be updated!

Walkable town.  Hotel has nice architecture.   Dog friendly

Perfectly repurposed building in the heart of a quiet town. Everything was as expected. The only thing we recommend improving is the water in the shower as the temperature would suddenly drop and then take minutes to heat back up.

Staying at the clocktower was unique. Not your typical hotel. Very classic old building. Note there is no elevator, and you have to climb steep stairs to get to the rooms. My favorite part was walking to the restaurant where i had awesome wine and pizza, made fresh from the oven. Also charming was the pigeons cooing on the roof.

We had a good visit here but would like to advise travelers that due to the number of stairs and no elevator (as it is an extremely old building), it may not be suitable for older, or mildly handicapped people.  We stayed 5 nights so the stairs became an excellent form of exercise. The communal kitchen was very well stocked and added to our stay.  We very much enjoyed the Bistro and the staff there. It was really pretty and the staff was so nice. I also enjoyed the easy check-out process. However, I wish I had known there was a parking time limit during daytime. Also, there was an ant infestation in the bathroom of my room and the tv was broken. There were also stains on the walls from the AC leaking.

We stayed in the King Edward room . it is very quaint with exposed bricks and high ceiling, reminiscent of an an old English inn.  It was very clean and the bed was comfortable.  A couple of comment/complaints .. The water in the shower was lukewarm and turned cold without warning... maybe user error but it wasn't obvious!  There were no cups in the room and by the time we noticed, the Bistro/Inn was closed so it would mean calling someone.  The room was set to 62F when we got there and never did warm up despite us turning up the heat.

Quaint and lovely with a few issues

Our first time here and we loved it. The front hostess was great and the room was both clean and very cozy. Our room didn’t have a fridge, but there is an entire kitchen available on the 3rd floor. It has cereals, coffee, bread w/toaster. I would definitely recommend this stay. Located right in the downtown area, so it was perfect. The only issue some may have, are the stairs. If you have difficulty with stairs, I would recommend the 2nd floor. That’s what you get with a heritage building.Great stay !!!!

Great stay in a great location

We were told when booking that our room was on the second floor but in reality it was on the third. A bit of a climb for two seniors. Also our tv didn't work at all.Breakfast was adequate and fresh. A good start to the day.We couldn't check out in person because the door was locked at 9:30 am.Restaurant meal was very good. Would recommend the menu.

The hike up 58 stairs to our room on the 3rd floor, although not unpleasant, was a bit of a challenge for us 80 year olds with suitcases. Perhaps the summary of the Clock Tower Inn on the web should include this.

Beautiful Historical venue. Great food at the Bistro! Definately check it out.There is no staff really to assist you so plan to be self reliant. Check in at the Bistro when you arrive and hopefully someone knows how to help you get in. Theres no fridge, microwave, ice machine so plan accordingly.
