Bocabec Country Garden Cottages

We just returned from a 5 night stay at Bocabec Country Cottages, New Brunswick. We booked directly with Dennis by phone and he made the process easy and pleasant, and his warm and welcoming manner made us look forward even more to our trip. Initially we booked for 4 nights but owing to being in Halifax during hurricane Dorian, and having no power at our Airbnb, we called to ask if we could come a day earlier than planned. Again, Dennis made us feel very welcome. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Sandra and had a quick and easy check in. She was so welcoming of our dog Ellie, and spoiled her with treats! She walked us through the beautiful, well tended gardens leading to our cottage, The Gardeners Getaway. We were treated to a beautiful view of the ocean, only a short walk through a trail from the cottage. The cottage is one of 3, all with ocean views. Ours was a small, open plan one room cottage with a sleeping area with a wall mounted TV, a eating area with a table and four chairs, and a well equipped kitchen, with stove, fridge, and microwave. There was ample storage in a dresser for our clothes as well as a closet with hangers. The cottage lives up to its name, with lots of cute garden related decorations and definitely has a country cottage vibe. Outside, there is a very good bbq which we used twice to cook steaks and some delicious Atlantic salmon, a firepit with muskoka chairs, and a outdoor patio set. They were so kind to bring us not one, but two lobster pots, a propane stove for boiling the water for cooking the lobsters, and even lobster crackers and forks. When Sandra heard our two year old granddaughter would be visiting for the evening, she brought us a basket of toys belonging to her grandson! Our granddaughter loved playing with them! The bed was very comfortable and we slept so well in this lovely quiet location. I'm not sure how long they plan to continue renting out the cottages on a short term basis, but if they are still available when we next visit the beautiful Saint Andrew's area, we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. A perfect place to relax and unwind, and only a 12 minute drive from all that Saint Andrew's has to offer, and a 5 minute drive from some lovely hiking trails.
