Very nice and value for money.  My only complaint - and minor at that - was the room was a little stuffy, no fresh air as all windows were sealed.  I’d be very happy to visit again.  Ray

Room shutters needed repair. Overall the facilities were fair for what they are and, whilst pretty noisy, the Palace represents good value. It’s an old pub so be realistic; don’t expect a quiet, modern experience. 3.5 stars.

Clean basic rooms  I would have liked a small fridge in the room.

Taking into account that this is an old style pub with share bathrooms we enjoyed our stay and slept well in the comfortable beds. It’s a popular pub with good food so expect a bit of noise at night. Some things can’t be helped- it’s a pub, and a nice one at that!

Great location, friendly staff, good food and nice pub.

Being local to this pub, we often head up here after work and more so on Friday nights. They have recently extended the dining area so it is always pretty easy to get a table there now. The menu is quite large however gets a bit monotonous after a few months. Overall, a great friendly pub.

How can yoy go past a $10 Bangers, peas, mash, gravy and caramelized onions? This came with 3 big juicy, perfectly cooked sausages and a generous dollop of creamy mash. 
This was very delicious. I know its a basic dush, but it can still be ruined.. but not here. I really enjoyed mine and will definitely return.
We were there on a monday night, and they have $15 steak and schnitzels on their special board...but the rest of the menu looked pretty interesting too, not just your usual pub fare. 
Definitely worth a gander and as i said....i will return to sample other dishes...but happy to stick with my snags and mash.....yuuuummmmm

Wonderful service, Excellent food, large servings. Pleasant atmosphere and reasonably priced. Remember to join the Birthday club, they give you a free meal, drink and a free game of Keno. Indoor and outdoor eating.

Spacious rooms. No a/c, shared bathrooms a bit dated but what can you expect ! Lovely building.

Cheap and bloody cheering

The Palace is a regular haunt, its been around for decades and even has historic pictures of itself and surrounds on the wall. The bar can be a bit noisy, the acoustics are good but its a real pub with giant screens showing endless sport. The restaurant has an indoor section plus a covered deck with a neat garden bar below. It has an enclosed room with poker machines if you like a flutter, you can even sip a beer out the front. The pub even offers accommodation but I've never looked into it being a local. I know a couple of blokes who live there permanently and happily. So it's the pub with the lot including visiting sports stars who live in nearby Breakfast Point.

Spacious room and bathroom. Clean and good quality sheets and bath towels. Room blinds and shower head are broken. Needs better maintenance.

It’s a pub!

The stay was perfect for the price. Awesome location for seeing a game at the stadium.
