Stunning views. Impeccably clean and comfortable. Fantastic hospitality and friendliness from the hosts. Tanis gave us wonderful ideas for exploring the area and is a delightful person, not to mention an accomplished baker. Her freshly baked delicacies were much appreciated and delicious. We will be back!

Yes, We Did Skip Stones On The Beach!

We had a delightful time staying at Skipping Stone beach B&B. We were very happy with our suite and all the amenities. The sunsets were wonderful to watch from our cozy bed, and the icing on the cake were the couple of porpoises we saw from the beach on 2 consecutive days. We hope to be back, Tanis and Paul took great care of us. 

Serene and Beautiful

The Starfish Suite has a great layout and the view from the room and the deck is beautiful and magnificent at sunset.
The home baking, fruit and yogurt for breakfasts is delicious.
We particularly enjoyed the tourist information we were given as it was our first time on Saltspring. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We are both advanced  seniors and appreciated our luggage being carried from car to suite.

A Little Bit  of Heaven

Skipping Stone Beach B&B has everything you could want in a B&B: wonderful, helpful hosts, beautifully appointed suites, a mesmerizing view--honestly, you can stare at it for hours and never get bored--comfy beds, utter quiet, and a gorgeous pebble beach. Yes, the water is cold, and yes, it's totally worth taking a dip. Tanis is an amazing baker--and our breakfasts were divine. I would go back in a heartbeat, any time of year. The photos on their website do not lie. I came away rested and refreshed--a welcome re-set in my busy life. 

The perfect B&B on Salt Spring Island

We were lucky to find this B&B available for booking, when our original 40th anniversary plans fell through last minute due to wildfires on Vancouver Island.  What a find!   Tanis greeted us in the driveway, toured us through the suite and property & spent quite a bit of time with us suggesting things to do on the island, including recommendations for the best restaurants etc.   Her advice was spot on!   We loved her fresh baked goodies on mornings 2 and 4, as well as the ample and tasty breakfast provisions in the room.   She even gifted us with a box of her nummy homemade baked treats on our anniversary :-)  The views from the room were stunning and we loved our time relaxing on the deck listening to the waves lapping on the beach.   A serene and tranquil place to pause and reflect.   We'd love to return again some day.

A quiet respite

The Starfish Suite was everything I was looking for to have a relaxing and comfortable island visit. The bed was comfy, the fresh baked goods every other day were delicious and the view was unforgettable. Tanis and Paul were warm and welcoming and had excellent suggestions for how to best spend my few days on the island. I'll definitely be visiting again in the future. 

Lovely suite with stunning views and friendly hosts

Skipping Stone is such a relaxing, beautiful place with hosts who treated us more like valued guests than customers.. The room we stayed in was well-appointed with a comfy bed, a kitchenette, and a nice little bathroom with a great shower. Upon arrival, Tanis got out the maps and the guidebooks and gave us the lay of the land, pointing out all the must sees and enough recommendations to last a week. All the recommendations were on-point; restaurants, cider/beer/wineries, artist studios, hikes, and sights. The private deck was a perfect place to have our morning coffee and unwind after a day of exploring, and the beach at the bottom of the stairs was just so lovely. We even took a dip in the chilly water, super refreshing! And Tanis' baked goods for breakfast! Nothing like perfect warm scones right out of the oven. We will definitely  be back!

A quiet, lovely getaway

Tanis and Paul were very warm and welcoming.  They provided detailed information about the property and their expectations, and were very accommodating about my husband's special diet - providing alternatives to the usual baked goods.  The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom large and well equipped.  We had a restful and enjoyable four nights at skipping stone.

Can't beat the location.

Tanis and Paul exceeded all our expectations. The Starfish Suite is super clean, comfortable and luxurious with every amenity, stunning views, private beach and Tanis provided fresh, warm, mouth-watering baking every other morning to go with our plentiful continental breakfast. Beautiful hiking, water sports, bistros, restaurants, concerts, art galleries, wineries/cideries, lakes and beaches are all close by. I can't wait to go back!

Thank you, Paul and Tanis, for adding to another memorable visit to Salt Spring.
It is truly our favourite gulf island and your suite is not only beautiful and in a perfect location (it felt remote as there are no houses nearby, but is still only a 5 minute drive to Ganges and it’s on the water looking west towards Vancouver Island so has the most spectacular sunsets) but you both are the perfect hosts. On our first visit to you we stayed in the studio suite. This visit we stayed in the two bedroom suite. Both have separate entrances and are totally private from each other and is also private from you upstairs. Your welcome to us of a freshly baked loaf of bread is the perfect example of the thoughtful touches you do.  We stayed for 3 nights and the suite was very comfortable and had everything we needed - it even had binoculars to get a close up view of the boats sailing by.
