Gite Clocher D'argent Bed & Breakfast

We stayed at Le Clocher d'Argent for 2 nights so that we could easily visit Forillon National Park without spending a ton of money on lodging. It turned out to be a good choice for us. Our room was comfortable, including the bed. The manager for the summer, Shantel (sp?), was gracious and met all of our needs at the B&B including allowing us to wash a load of clothes. We had been traveling for a couple of weeks and needed the service. She also cooked a couple of tasty breakfasts each morning, including bacon, eggs, potatoes and then French toast with fresh fruit. Our only full day in the area turned out to be a perfect, sunny day to visit the Forillon. That made the whole visit even better. By the way, that is one fantastic park!!! The setting of the B&B was neat also, next to an attractive church and an interesting cemetery. The whole property was also right on the water (St. Lawrence Seaway). We were quite satisfied with this experience. The town was so small that there was no restaurant, but did have a small grocery store for essentials like wine and beer.
