Located at ile de orleans at quebec,
Provide a good view of sunrise from quebec city, breakfast prepared by host. Quite cheap for end of season price. Ill consider coming back to this hotel if given the choice. Place is filled with artistic products. Hot water provider. The blanket was warm.

Bed and breakfast

The B&B is facing St-Lawrence river with chairs to relax looking at the great view.  The reception by Nadia was very nice.  The B&B is not standard to my experience since the rooms are all on the second floor and the first floor is in fact a Art Gallery selling paintings and Antique Furniture.  Also, the owner does not live on site so the employee leaves at 8pm and after you need to manage the backdoor lock to get in.  This was not a problem for us but need to be mentionned.  

For those who know a little about Ile d'Orlean, it has kept its charms for the 19th century but level of comfort comes with it: there are a lot of sqeeks from the floor, the bed and door handles.  This coupled with thin walls can bring some surounding noise.  It was acceptable to us for two nights and is probably similar to many Ile d'Orlean B&B since most of the properties use to be summer house for rich people 200 years ago.  The room was very clean.

Breakfast were good and different the two morning we were there.  Wifi would have been greatly appreciated but not available.

It is a bit overpriced  compare to other B&B we went but most of things are on the island.  However, it is such a nice palce to relax and visit a well preserved 19th century architecture.

You need to know where you go

We stayed one night at this auberge and there was major construction going on in front of the auberge and they didn't notify us in advance. Surprised! We had to hall our luggage which was 5min away from our vehicle. We had to walk through the mud and the neighbour's lawn who was accommodating about it. There was no apology from the auberge. We still payed full price and they expected a tip. Room was nice and breakfast was good but I wouldn't go there anytime soon.

Pas relaxé - Didn't feel relaxed 

We booked two rooms for one night. I could have easily given 5 stars but we did not get the rooms we booked with extra $$. Our experience was not at all per their website details.

1) Room 1: Queen Studio with Sea view - Price we paid was 153 CAD. This was room at the first floor (Yvonne) which is neither studio nor sea view. We booked this room as we saw nice pictures in your website but you gave us a normal room. The bed was uncomfortable with creaky floor.

2) Room 2: Double room with Sea view - Price we paid was 143 CAD
This was Germaine room on the first floor. I believe the 'sea view' is bit misleading here as you have a tiny window (far away from the bed) from where you can see the St. Lawrence river. 

The only thing we liked was the breakfast, location and the staff.

Because you didn't give us the rooms that we originally booked, you should work towards reimbursing the 30 $ extra that you charged for the rooms as clearly you gave us the double room which is 100$+tax.

Avoid if you have better options

The location of the Auberge is great - right on the St. Lawrence River in the heart of the picturesque ile d'Orleans, near Quebec City.  But that is about all that is good about it.  The rooms have paper thin walls and the floors creak in this old house, so that you can hear your neighbour getting up in the middle of the night.  Granted, it is an original house from the 18th century, which has its charm, but if they want it to be a BandB and charge a lot of money for it, then it should meet at least some modern standards.  Their profile on BBCanada.com has wrong prices and makes no mention of high and low season pricing.  This is the first BandB from the BBCanada site that we have stayed at that is sub-par.  Our room had an ensuite, which usually means a separate bathroom attached, however, in this case the bathroom, shower and sink were part of the room, which means no privacy.  I would not recommend this BandB to anyone.
