Gîte du Marquis

We had a wonderful stay at the Gîte du Marquis. It is located right on the bike path, across the street from a lovely park and the river, an excellent location. We arrived and were greeted with a friendly smile from the owner, Christine. She showed us around and allowed us to store our bike in their locked garage. Our room was cute and had everything we might need, including nice fluffy towels and good wifi. There are 4 rooms which share 1 bath but it was always available when we wanted it and always clean and well stocked. The breakfast was magnificent. Christine cooks to order and she made me crepes with ham and cheese - they were heavenly. The breakfast also included croissant, homemade yogurt and beautiful fresh fruit. There was also a tomato fresh from the garden. When I commented on how good it was, Christine went out and picked 2 and gave them to us! My husband’s breakfast was eggs, toast, home fries and bacon, all in plentiful quantities and also including the yogurt, fruit and croissants. The breakfast alone was almost worth the whole cost of the stay! And the warm, friendly owners really made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend this B&B.
