Wasn’t in a good location.  Couldn’t walk for food or drinks.  Beds horrible.  Breakfast in a funky little upstairs room.  The staff was wonderful.  2 girls in a yelling fight in hallway at 2:30am.  Only bathtub.  Cabinets holding tv and fridge old.  Needs updating

Can’t believe I was charged $200 for this rundown out of the way place.

We never met the host, Mary, A man named Frank showed us to our room and charged us the rate, then an extra $15 for cleaning that was not part of the quote. The bathroom was very dated, with some missing items (wash cloth, for example). There was someone's hair on the bathroom floor, and the area behind the basin was grimy. 

No AC, so had to leave the windows open. Near a busy intersection, so traffic noise was an issue. 

We had a very early ferry, so I had contacted the host before our arrival to ask if she could put a simple takeaway breakfast together? She replied "ok" but when we arrived, and asked, we were shown to the contents of the fridge, where there was nothing we could have taken except bread and cheese. 

If this were a budget-priced place, I would not complain, but it was quite expensive for what was there.

Overpriced for basic accommodation in a dated home

Arrived late after driving from Alberta.  Was the only place available and the rate was very good.  The host is the sweetest lady. House is beautiful and spacious.  Would recommend to others.  Nice quite neighbourhood that felt very safe

Very pleasant

Found it very charming, very clean, with lovely hosts.  Convenient to lots of things (I had to cab it as flew in from Kelowna).  Mary drove me to casino yesterday, and although I did have to pay, didn't charge me anything extra to briefly stop at bank on the way.  Would recommend and would stay again.  Although no breakfast, do provide coffee/tea and one can use the kitchen if want to.  Quiet area

Immaculate home, very pleasant stay

This place wonderful to stay at.   I found them to be more than accommodating.   They Helped  us with our luggage.  We arrived late.  Visited with us in morning! They all where wonderful hosts. With a very lovely , well decorated, clean room.  It is a mansion and great value.

Vancouver pacific guest house

Got this place last minute and for the price. Its expensive to stay in Vancouver. At first, we were driving around in circles trying to find the place. We had a hard time because it is a neighborhood of huge homes. This place is an actual home. Hosts were very kind and sweet. Host was kind enough to give us a room with a larger space given we had a last minute friend join us. There was a small added fee. Unfortunately, the room was by the kitchen, so we heard the morning kitchen life in the morning. Kind of odd. I don't mind bathroom sharing for a cheap price, but it felt like one shower for at least 3 rooms (with at least 2 in each room). House was very nice and clean (bathroom not so much in the morning), but I really didn't like waiting for the bathrooms. We got it through Priceline, but I heard some other guests got it through Airbnb.

Its a home, kind host, but felt a little odd

My flight was cancelled during my transit from Toronto to Taipei due to the typhoons. All the local hotels are so pricey.
Lucky that I found this very reasonable price guest house that make me feel like home. Four star room for a one star price. Strongly recommend it.
