B&B Au Petit Roi

I visited Quebec City in July 2022 and B&B Au Petit Roi is about 5 minuts walk from Centre des congrès de Québec. The host, Kamal, took took very good care of us and went way beyond his duties to make our stay as nice and pleasant as possible. I also visited B&B Gîte À l’Augustine, which is close by and run by his wife Caroline. I can not describe how nice and lovely they are, almost like visiting family.

This is madame Louise, I was only four days at this place and I felt as if I was a month.
Very friendly, warm and good location. I have enjoyed the very healthy breakfast
of every morning. The host was very helpful and attentionate. My room was very 
cozy with peaceful surroundings. I definitely recommend it.

The place is pretty special, first, because of its aesthetics, second, because of its location, and third, because of the amazing breakfast, a different option for each day of stay. An excellent choice to stay if you go to Quebec.

Lovely room, friendly and knowledgeable host, good breakfast, great location! We loved our stay at this cozy B&B. Our host provided us with email instructions on arrival and gave us some good tips for restaurants in the neighborhood - non touristy spots with good French food.

My husband, 1 year old and I stayed here over New Years for 4 days. The hosts, Karima and Khalid, are very friendly and extremely accommodating. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. 

The house is cute and victorian. The rooms are well appointed. Breakfast was great everyday. The location is also fantastic!  A block away is a street filled with stores and restaurants. It is about a 10 minute walk to the walled in Old City.  There is free parking, which is huge! Since we stayed over New Years, there is a large outdoor party that was a 7 minute walk away. Overall, we thought it was a fantastic value and are thankful we stayed there!

The B&B is located on a side street 1.2 kilometers from the stone-walled entrance to the main city, and accessible by bus or walking. It is also two blocks down the hill to Rue Saint-Jean leading into the city. We stayed in the suite on the lower level and it was both roomy and comfortable. The owner and main assistant were very helpful, despite the assistant's lack of English. The real bonus was the wonderful breakfast of several courses/options in the morning to get the day started.

Our room on the main floor was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Lots of space, a small, fridge,dressing gowns and an excellent bed to sleep in.
Our host was attentive and helpful and cooked an amazing breakfast. I would go back just to eat his breakfast!
Good location and easy walking to most sites.

Whimsical place, excellent breakfast

Lovely place, friendly feeling

Firstly the physical accommodation is lovely, charming and beautiful. We stayed in a spacious suite with character and antique charm.  As well we had accidentally booked for three nights, and had to change at the last minute. They did not charge us for this which was kind. Otherwise, our experience was very average. The parking is impossible, they were not present for us, offered no housekeeping and the breakfast was not as others had reviewed at all. We didn’t eat it the first day as we were so disappointed and the second day declined, preferring an authentic French bakery up the street. We very much wanted a French breakfast experience ( even onecroissant? )instead it was cold cereal, with store bought muffins or breads, also cold. The coffee was oddly flavoured and not good. For us we would have stayed else where as this experience was important to us. We do not recommend.

Physically lovely, otherwise average

Location good. Hosts not there upon arrival at agreed time. Breakfast was very basic . Entrance doorway was steep and very narrow, difficult to get through with even  a small bag. None of the fridges worked very well, and no ice available. It was certainly a work in progress.  Would not return or recommend. Large room on main floor looked nice.
