L'Intendant

The location was excellent for exploring the area.   Breakfast was delicious every day and real maple syrup and homemade jam were appreciated! Gerald offered assistance when needed and his dry sense of humour amusing) There was no kettle in the room if you wish to make coffee or tea.  We would recommend this establishment and would stay here again.

Extremely close to Quebec Intercar terminal.

Our knowledgeable host was super helpful mapping out our sites and activities and served us a hearty, memorable meal to start each day of walking the city, including delicious homemade strawberry jam. Room was as described and worth the price. Location central and super safe. Merci Gerard pour tout!

A great B&B with ideal location and excellent breakfeast. The owner was very kind to us, especially to our 2 young kids, and helpful.

The building is over 100 years old with classic furniture, modern bathrooms and a charming inn keeper.  Very conveniently located with just a short hike up the hill or a walk around the bottom of the hill to the many interesting shops and sights.

Gerald was awesome, the place was cute & super clean, breakfast was fantastic. 5 min walk to the old Quebec

Excellent Manager, great breakfast, great location, excellent price, spacious room with all required facilities a family of 5 could need. TV was very big and new. Rooms are quite dated, but clean and the bed was very comfortable.

This was a very comfortable provision for our one night stay following our cruise from Boston. A great price and location alternate to the congested pricey accommodations in the walled upper-old city. Just 2 blocks from the gated entry at Cote du Palais. The host was most helpful in securing our taxi for our 4am trek to the airport. Technology kicked us, the taxi was not an app request through Uber, we paid him in cash; however Uber picked the ride up on my app and not realizing this had occurred, I paid all over again when I gave a 5 star plus tip for what I thought was an incomplete ride from a previous port excursion. So Uber users beware. We are taking this in stride as we learned at airport that some were unable to secure rides in advance and therefore spent the night at the airport! Sadly, we missed the breakfast due to our early departure.

Quebec City adventure

Nicer than a low cost B&B in Paris.   .y wife and I were in Quebec City for our 50th wedding anniversary.   L'Intendant checked most of our buttons.  Generously sized room, convenient location,  reasonably priced, nice continental breakfast
  But what made the stay special was Gérard,  our host.  His recommendations were always spot on and he had a good sense of humor.   He made our stay more memorable. 

It was a great stay for us 

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at L'intendant. The breakfast was superb. The room was a fun combination of ancient and modern. Though it was hot the days we visited Quebec, our room was comfortably air conditioned. The location was excellent, close to several excellent restaurants, the historic district, and the railway station. L'intendant is an excellent value.

In the Heart of the Quebec

Host was really helpful with maps and brochures. Room decor was European with colors and wallpaper. King bed in Raudot room comfortable. Renovated bathroom.Breakfast filling with croissants, crepe, jelly, maple syrup, fruit dish, jc, fresh coffee. Hotel was close to bus stops, restaurants, and easy to walk to attractions. Would highly recommend.

Quebec vacation

Quaint, great location. Not all rooms have TVs, but in a city as great as Quebec, who cares? WIFI is good. Breakfast may get monotonous if you stay several nights, as it is the same each morning - Apple cider, choice of coffee or tea, a nice bowl of fruit and three pastries - a crepe, a croissant and a chocolate-filled roll, served with two small containers of jam and a container of maple syrup. Portable AC is pretty loud

L'Intendant a well-situated gem in Vieux Quebec

The owner was AMAZING!  From the detailed explanation of the city and events to the exceptional breakfast in the morning, he went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay.  The location also, was perfect.   Two minute walk to the market, 10 to the hotel Frontenac, and 5-10 minutes to the lower city.

Amazing stay

Great location, near bus stops (not that you'll need them, everything you can walk to) helpful and knowledgeable host, very busy street but with the windows closed it helped with the noise, if you're the type that needs quiet to sleep, this won't be the place for you, AC was great on hot days, TV was only in the main room so we couldn't relax in bed at the end of the day and flip through channels

This hotel is situated within old Quebec and has the charm and elegance of the city. We choose the room with the jacuzzi and it was very comfortable to relax in. Well worth the price. There is parking within two blocks of the hotel so that was convenient. If your coming to the city to explore and want to soak in a bath after along day of walking and exploration this hotel is the perfect place.

Beautiful hotel room in Old Quebec

We stayed 2 nights. For the price, the location couldn't have been better. The owner (I think) was very helpful in mapping out a great itinerary for us to follow that worked with the amount of time we were going to be there. He also has a wonderful Mr. Potato set of toys for my daughter to play with which was great. The description says toiletries are included, but not what you would expect. Bring conditioner and lotion. The rooms and building could certainly use updating, but this was perfect for our needs.
