Great place to stay and really comfortable. Only down side you can hear the suite next to you really easily. Especially if they are a loud snorer. But overall great place to escape to

Couple getaway to Prince Edward County. We visited a winery and stayed in this lovey suite. It was perfect. The ambiance was relaxing and inviting. We were able to cook our breakfast and enjoy some of the eggs of the hosts. I highly recommend to stay at the Owl's Nest Suites, you will be pleased.

Beautiful retreat away from a busy world. Nice kitchenette, well equipped. There was coffee but no milk so take that with you as no shops within several miles by the look of things.

Our stay at Owl's Nest Suites was beautiful and perfectly tranquil. The property is amazing and the suites themselves have been built and decorated with such detail and craftsmanship - in particular, the tiles and sink are works of art.

This was an amazing visit and we loved it. It was unique relaxing and the owner was lovely.

We had a fantastic time at Owl's Nest. We got easy responses and checks from the owners. The place is conveniently located amid many small and a bit larger towns. Super quiet. Sitting on the swing and watching the stars while listening to all sorts of nature lives was an honorable and blessed experience. We also appreciated the affordability including cleanliness and we had exactly what we needed for our three days and two nights visit to PEC and areas. Thanks and highly recommend it for couples/individuals.

My stay at this cabin in Prince Edward was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in the serene heart of the island, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the cabin's rustic charm and natural beauty. The cabin itself was a cozy haven.The hosts were gracious and accommodating, ensuring our stay was as seamless as possible.In short, this cabin provided the perfect escape to nature and tranquility. I returned home feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the wonderful memories created during my stay. I can't wait to return to this slice of paradise in Prince Edward.Highly recommended for those seeking a memorable and peaceful getaway.

Great little place to stay for a getaway. Super cozy bed which is always a bonus for me. Quality linen sheets and duvet. Nice touch with added amenities for you to enjoy a meal in your room.  Do note that the other room suite is right beside in the same small building. We were out most of the days so didn’t get to experience the property but it’s a very nice area to sit out or explore. Would definitely return

I have just returned from my first two-night getaway to the Owl's Nest Suites, and it was the PERFECT place to tune out the world and tune into myself. I am already figuring out how many weeks I need to wait before I can reasonably book another stay! :-)

Janna was an excellent host, answering my questions before I arrived about the suites and the status of the trails (for those interested, the trails were open but muddy - rain boots needed!); and during my stay, she and Jake were available by text or phone, but never intrusive.  They live on the property with their kids (so they have plenty to do!); and the suites themselves are self-catering, so there are no check in desks, cleaning services, etc. to interrupt the peace and quiet.

I stayed in Suite B, which is one of two suites in a "carriage house" separate from the main property. The straw bale construction keeps the suite astonishingly quiet and comfortably warm. The solidity, silence and simple comfort of the space was the first thing that struck me about the suite when I entered, and I continued to notice how quiet and comfortable the entire space was throughout my stay.  The bed is luxurious, while the kitchenette and bathroom facilities are simple but very functional. One note - there is no microwave or dishwasher,  but the kitchenette has a stove-top burner, toaster oven, mini-fridge, electric kettle and french press - as well as the necessary pots, pans, dishes, etc. that you'd expect. One treat that I didn't expect was the super-comfy slippers (there were one large and one medium-sized pair provided). I practically lived in them during my stay.

The property itself is lovely, with some short, easy walking trails (took me maybe 10 min. to stroll the full circuit) encompassing a fire pit, pond, lilac walk, field and forested area.  There look to be several comfortable outdoor seating areas - including one outside the door to the suite, and another by the pond - which I look forward to trying out on a future stay.  There are also free-roaming chickens wandering about adding a bit of beautiful colour and rural activity to the landscape. They liked to hang out outside the window to my suite, and I found it very entertaining to watch them scratch about for 15-20 min until they moved on.  The two dogs on the property are friendly (I met one, and he was an absolute Love!), but I understand Janna and Jake have measures in place to manage the dogs if any guests would prefer not to interact with them.

To wrap up, I spent a delicious two days simply lounging about in my suite, having naps, reading books, taking the occasional walk in the fresh air, and simply getting re-acquainted with myself. It. Was. Marvellous!

An Ideal Place to Tune Out the World and Tune in to Yourself!

The straw bale suites were absolutely lovely. Very clean and cozy with a very welcoming feel. We really loved the ability to prepare food in our own room with dishes provided and a large sink to wash up afterwards.The couple that owns it are very friendly. They were very quick to answer any questions we had leading up to our visit, offering a list of recommendations of the great local places to visit.It was such a nice experience. You can see they have put a lot of care and thought into the finishing touches of the room and how they maintain the property.

Wow! I booked Suite A for one night to clear my head and get out of the city and I’m so happy I found Owl’s Nest because it has been exactly what I hoped for and more. The owners have done a wonderful job of creating a peaceful and beautiful abode. The kitchenette is outfitted with all the basics you need to make a few simple meals. I feel recharged and rested. I will definitely come again!

Stayed beginning March , for 1 night stay. Kitchenette stocked with basic items ( everything we  needed) - coffee cups / plates/ cutlery etc. , also had supply of coffee, tea, sugar S&P. Cooking 'appliances' - 2 burner cook plate, toaster oven, kettle, bar/ mini fridge. We didn't 'cook' /prepare any meals during our stay. Not what we think of when we see bed & breakfast accommodation.
Interesting autobiography on the construction of the 'suite'. Quite evident how environmentally aware the owners are.
Unfortunately , with spending 1 night , we didn't have the opportunity to meet the owners ( spoke prior to arriving), appreciate the property, or take in a Wine Tour. Hoping to return soon , to explore the area more.

Cozy , Quaint and Quiet

We had a fantastic two night stay (wish we booked one more night) and loved the hospitality provided by Janna and family. Great communication, they leave you to it, but are always there if you need them. 
The three appointed rooms are conveniently self-entry and self-contained--you park and your itinerary is waiting for you at the door. The rooms are lovely and have everything you need. Fridge, kitchenette, great shower--all with handmade artisanal touches by Janna (who is a potter)...It really felt like a home instead of a room.  
We loved walking around the property too, and it's encouraged. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the cows mooing and the birds. Very pastoral and nicely removed (but not too far removed) from busy Wellington/Picton. We will return!

Best of Both Worlds: Rural Retreat in Buzzing Prince Edward County

Lovely quiet location. Janna takes great care with her accommodations and you can tell by how everything has it’s place that each piece was picked specifically for the suite.  The only thing I would suggest is maybe a couple more hooks for hanging clothing items.  There are a couple on the back of the entry door but possibly a couple in the bathroom would be good.

Janna's home had so many personal touches and it felt very welcoming. The property has a very west-coast vibe that reminded me of home. Check-in was seamless, the room was spacious and the kitchen included cutlery, plates, mugs, bowls, a fridge, stove top and toaster oven so you could easily prepare your own meals if you wanted. I would highly recommend staying here. It was an absolute delight.
